Not to pat myself on the back too much but figured it would be total crap and glad I didn’t waste a second watching any. Something about a social media influencer fighting a six decade-old former boxer didn’t quite excite me
They put 2 nice ass fights before the main event. If Mike Tyson wanna get in the ring and do whatever im still watching…you never know what your gonna get with that guy lol.
Dude Is 60, I don’t think many 60 year old have any cardio to fight a 8 round fight. Then there’s the fact his legs are fucy right up, guy looks like he can barely walk right. The fact a 27 year old “boxer” in his prime wanted to box a senior citizen is an absolute joke. Paul is a joke period. Was really hard to watch, at least Paul took it easy on him in the last few rounds when he clearly could have k.od tyson. And its nice he got tyson 20 mill but the whole thing was an absolute joke.
The fights before we’re pretty good but main event was terrible. Not surprised considering Paul was boxing a 60 year old.
Enough is enough Paul needs to fight a boxer that’s his own size and age. This pic easy opponents that he knows he can beat is getting tiring fast.
I thought the first fight was an actual joke. Second was not much better. The ladies had a good fight. But that was about it. The whole Tyson thing was a disappointment.
Ya forgot about that first one, wasnt the best fight for sure. They were not throwing to hard but the indian guy looked like he had some skill dodging and throwing combos. But they were more like sparring type punches.
The 2 middle fight were really good i thought, pretty entertaining.
The tyson fight was just a joke but really what could you expect from a 6o year old man on very shaky knees.
I thought it was funny how Roy Jones Jr kept referring to Tyson’s leg work in a bad way. He wasn’t lying, the way i saw Tyson stepping around with really stiff legs, made me feel kinda bad for him
The Indian fellow absolutely had some skills but had less energy in the tank than Tyson. That’s why I though it was a joke. Who shows up to have a fight in such horrible shape. He had to keep walking away to catch his breath during the rounds. It was painful to watch. He was also hitting him like it was a pillow fight. I don’t think touching his face really counts as a punch, lol.
Ya i definitely felt bad for tyson starting in round 2. His first round was half decent and just went downhill from there. Really felt bad for him, but in the end he got 20 mill for it. And thats the reason he did it, as he said for the money to pay bills
It certainly was a great payday for them. It should have been billed as an exhibition but that would not have gained the attention. I seem to recall someone mentioning Netflix wanting to get into broadcasting the NFL so this was likely they testing the waters.
20 mil for a few months work, and he got himself in better shape. Hard to knock the man…
So, when is the De La Hoya comeback?! Another fav from my youth… I just checked and he’s 51, not doing much for making me feel any younger.
Father time goes undefeated
The ring had to be bigger than 16x16.,good for Paul because he’s young and a defensive fighter so there was plenty of room to get out of the way and jab and hard for a 58 year old in fighter to catch him. Tysons leg was damaged and his legs didn’t co-operate. Paul promoted and set this fight up so he made the rules,he obviously didn’t want 10 oz gloves so he gave Tyson 2 minute rounds because he knew he could tire him out moving around that big ring,if Tyson ko’s him in the first round he got no money, second round he got pittance, only going 8 rounds gave him a paycheck and every round wore him down more and more trying to get in close. He was beat before the opening bell by the rules he agreed too. Even though he was great entertainment during his reign,I’m not a big Tyson fan but the dice were loaded during this one.
