Unhybridized Haze Thread

I wanted to create a separate thread from the Addicted to HAZE thread specifically to discuss unhybridized Haze and its effects and for growers to post pictures of their unhybridized Haze grows.

This includes the various reproductions and lines of Original Haze, Positronics / Tom Hill Haze, and Old Timer’s Haze.

As much as I enjoy growing and making Haze hybrids, this thread is not the place to discuss them. This includes culturally significant Haze hybrids like Piff, NLHaze, and Neville’s Haze, as well as hybrids with landrace Sativa cultivars.

To keep things civil and avoid the reply-limiting of the other haze thread, please try to refrain from off topic discussion of any haze hybrids, name-calling, or speculation about the lineage/authenticity of various haze lines. Off topic posts will be flagged as such if they lead the discussion significantly away from the subject of this thread.

Is it ok to discuss Old Timers Haze too?

Yes, I forgot to add to the list.

Any pictures of plants folks want to share? I’ve not done a pure Sativa before so i have no photos to offer myself but would love to see what everyone has grown.

Ohz and its daughter, I get it. OTH same.
But for the Golli Haze i don’t understand at all.

What even is it anyways? The bit of research I could possibly find looked like it’s just an ohaze repro from some dude named golli?

^^ not surprised that we share the vibes

We both play with Ohz direct hybrids since too long anyway for this kind of red flag ^^ I also saw that on the MadMac thread, he clearly identify the Ohz phenos even on males in the Golli ^^

I’ve more hot to share, i just recognize the line of a white label for reasons you know ^^ The Purple Haze White Label Sensi, chunk it with a NH male to give this floral and … you have a perfect copy.

So yeah it’s prevention in regard of the initial “hybrids” thread. It was initially launched to revolve around the vision of authenticity of one unique label and its mercantile interrests.

Removed as I gave up caring

Looking forward to this, original haze is one of my favorites with a lot of potential/interesting phenos.

Finally there’s a place to talk freely about the Original Pure Haze line without being told it never existed or it’s better in a hybrid. Bla bla bla…
All that noise is coming from people who don’t have it and don’t grow it.

If I recall it’s old Seedsman Original Haze stock, but I could be misremembering. Sam said Seedsman carried his work for a while, seeds he made personally that they purchased in bulk to resell. I think that’s it. Can anyone confirm that for me?

Also, isn’t Golli Haze what went into the Icmag Haze work?

Both the Golli Haze and Icmag Haze are two lines that I’d really like to add to the collection. Anyone here have them and trading or sharing? I was talking with JC over in Icmag a while back about trying to acquire some but at the time there was some drama with how they were being shared or represented or worked or something like that and it never came to fruition for me. Hoping to come across some of each eventually. Many blessings and much love

To elaborate on my earlier comment I went digging on Icmag and saw this quote by @elanius:

thanks ! Well, Golli received clones from oldtimer in Sweden, made reproduction and shared the seeds with MadMac, who made another preservation run and is working with the line ever since.
The Swedish grower bought the seeds in early 2000, but they were made in 90’s, hence the line also being called OHaze 90’. When Mac brought samples to Sam, he was impressed, one of them was his favorite smoke, he said it reminded him the old Haze iirc, more details are with @MadMac.

Both @elanius and @MadMac would surely know more about the pedigree than me. It was difficult for me to keep up with that Haze thread over on Icmag back then with all the back and forth from various parties.

Hope this helps and doesn’t add to any confusion. Many blessings and much love

I got a pack of regular haze as a freebie from a breeder.

Not sure if that means what you think it means, it may be (OG Kush x Haze) x (OG kush x haze)

I believe what the community commonly refers to as Haze is stuff that can trace it’s pedigree to Sam’s work with what he refers to as Original Haze or stuff that can trace it’s pedigree back to Old Timers Haze work.

Stuff like the Positronics Haze, for example, comes from Sam’s Original Haze pedigree. Anything from the above two pedigrees and ancestral lineage without being outcrossed or hybridized. Another example would be Todd’s Original Haze offering that he reproduced from Sam’s work. Or any other hobbyist or breeder who uses the aforementioned pedigrees without outcrossing them.

Sam’s Original Haze or Old Timers Haze are pretty much the only stuff that is commonly called Haze within the community. Sam often makes it clear by using the distinctive phrasing “Original” to denote his work, as in Original Haze. Hope that helps. If I’m missing something and anyone notices please elaborate. Many blessings and much love

Ya need long time flowering NLD lines, the flower that real life wizards use. Once you start dropping afghani hash lines like Neville’s and other hybrids into the genetics, you start to lose the magick associated with these special lines.

Bruce Lee was an honorary member of the pure NLD club, we need more Bruce Lees
