Hello there OG. I’ve been helping @Kidete put together a crew of people to get him into the Congo in about a month. I’ve already gotten commitments from 8 or 9 people, and I’m looking for $200 from another 8 or 9 people. The money will go to kidete of East Africa Genes for trip expenses. He flies into the capital of Kinshasha Congo late January where he will meet a rasta guide that speaks Swahili. 1. Western Uganda has a similar tropical climate and soil to northern Congo. I believe that these factors are conducive for highly potent landrace sativas
2. The unique terpenes found in the Ugandan Kerosene sativa make me believe that there might be other varieties with interesting terpene profiles.
3. As the founder of East Africa Genes, I believe that I have a role to play in the conservation of landrace strains found in East African countries. It’s through visiting different areas of Uganda will help the local growers understand the importance of maintaining pure genetics for future generations.

There are certainly more. I typed out a very long reply pertaining to this trip, and posted it in the wrong thread. I don’t Know how to move the entire reply over here.But there was some neat information about Rwenzori Mts and Kibale National Park, both within range of fort portal Uganda.
