Upcoming Landrace Strain Hunt in Uganda!

I’m a passionate landrace collector from Kenya and I do strain reviews on local varieties found in East Africa

Last year I visited the beautiful and vast Democratic Republic of Congo to find potent and rare ancient landrace breeds

I announced my plans to visit the Pearl of Africa based on these reasons;

  1. Western Uganda has a similar tropical climate and soil to northern Congo. I believe that these factors are conducive for highly potent landrace sativas
  2. The unique terpenes found in the Ugandan Kerosene sativa make me believe that there might be other varieties with interesting terpene profiles.
  3. As the founder of East Africa Genes, I believe that I have a role to play in the conservation of landrace strains found in East African countries. It’s through visiting different areas of Uganda will help the local growers understand the importance of maintaining pure genetics for future generations.
