Ardent, Levo, there are a couple. Ichiban crafter has quite a thorough writeup or ‘review’ comparison on all the different methods of decarbing on their site. Ya might not like what you read there though, haha. I didn’t, and I have a $350+ Ardent model. I almost hesistate to share this here. Although, these decarb devices are nice and convenient, and create practically no smell at all.
Regarding my “feeler” post about drivers, and possibly fixtures: I’ll have to wait to make a proper update on that. I took pictures of the drivers I mentioned. But I’ll wait to take/post pictures and provide more complete details on fixtures and other stuff until I’m able to do it properly, due to having to shift priorities at very least for this weekend.
Apologies. And if anyone has quesitons, you can still ask or pm me.
hey!
***** not working / wont calibrate *****?
not sure if this is worth anything to anyone with experience or
anyone have any solutions for fixing old blue lab pen that dried out . i had it in a jar with water and i guess i slacked off.? can you replace the tip?
photo of it in 4.0 solution after running calibration.
I use the Apera Instruments AI311 Premium Series PH60 Waterproof pH Pocket Tester Kit, Replaceable Probe, ±0.01 pH Accuracy. It’s an amazing and fast meter. Been using it since Dec 2021 and no issues.
My Blue Lab was taking a bit to settle down, so I just got^^^. Out of the box, it was way slower to settle than the 4 year old Blue Lab, but after a week seems to be speeding up? Still not as quickly as the BL, though. The readings do match up.
It was not dry when I opened it. Does it take a bit for the bulb to adjust?
I do like the 0.00 readout, just wouldn’t call it amazing, lol!
Did it go dry? If so, it’s likely toast. If it was just stored in water, that’s not ideal either. It should be stored in KCL (storage solution). You can use KCL solution to try and “rehydrate” it too; you’d want to soak it in KCL for probably 24-48 hours for sure. Then you can try and calibrate it again, see how it goes. Might not be worth it.
The apera stuff is good.
Yea ph probes need to be kept wet, in KCL/storage solution, at all times, when not being used. Rise them after every use, and calibrate often (at least once a month). The apera that @DougDawson mentioned is a good brand/tool.
I didn’t have that issue and mine becomes very stable fast. The first reading seems to take a bit longer as it seems to adjust to the temp but every subsequent reading is quite fast. Same every time so I am just guessing it’s the temp. So for example when I make up 3 x 5 gallon bottles of nutes the first reading on my first bottle might take 15 seconds or so to stabilize. Each reading after that only takes a few seconds to stabilize. I also like that I can change the probe.
Anyone have a 2-chamber grow tent they need to move? I’ve been looking at the ones that are 3’ x 4’ with a small veg chamber and a larger flowering room. I’m starting from scratch with tent growing, so I’ll need the whole setup, but the tent is the first thing I need, then I’ll get the filter and fan, my current light might be strong enough.
Anyway, I’m looking online and would rather go to the community than pay some faceless company. I’m in USA.
My RO reservoir temp is the same as ambient, so I don’t think that’s the case here. But, the reading does seem to get to the point faster every day, weird.
The replaceable probe is a nice feature. Have you changed yours? Do you know how long they typically last?
