Using tomato cages for landrace sativas, 36" or 48"?

I need to use tomato cages to keep my plants mobile because I’m moving soon. The cages will help them be mobile and stable.

Anyone with experience using them for such plants how high should I go with it?

The 48" cages cost a bit more so I’m hoping the smaller one is enough.

I did a Trainwreck last year, and believe I used the taller ones. How tall of a plant we talking?

They will definitely get to up to 4 ft even with training

Id use the bigger ones then. This one was about 6.5 and flopped

I currently have South Pacific and Jamaican landraces, and Acapulco gold from mass medical, but too nervous to get into a long flower sativa just yet

Go as big as you can! @ZazaZombie

Here’s some autos that I used 2-3m tall cages on stilts around 10 gallon airpots. (Leaves the bottom/pot accessible and means the ‘tops’ of the cages are 3-4 meters above the soil) They still popped out the tops! You can get the welded wire that they use in the concrete of roadways by the roll and make your own cheap! We just put tall rebar pounded into the soil and used industrial-strength zip-ties to attach the cages, but if your pots are big enough, guess you could put the rebar inside to make it more mobile…I’d still put a couple in the ground to keep 'em from tipping over. Good luck!

Early on!

I later re-used these cages on some Peshawar Sativa’s and they were a good meter above the tops!

I read the mobile part, and i dont think you will be able to accomplish that with any plant over a couple foot

If it doesnt have to be mobile, i would skip tomato cages and go to cattle fence paneling

Either make them into circle yourself, or have a wall and grow them all up the same wall
