Some of the Golden Goat x Scott’s OG “Garland” at 48. This is the Golden Goat dominant plant.
Continues to impress. I threw down another 21 beans and 19 came up 72 hrs later, not bad for 4 year old seeds. Not sure if it even gets much better than this, I have 2 more females about to hit flower any day and I’ll select another 4 females and 1-2 males of the 19 seeds. I’ll cull the broader leaved plants and go from there.
Ordered some STS supplies, figure I’ll start reversing the golden goat clone in the mini pollination tent after these gals are done. Plan is, take 5mL of the 0.1M silver nitrate, 20mL of the 0.1M sodium thiosulfate solution, mix well, then mix that into 175mL of water which is a 1:7 dilution. I’ll start spraying the “male to be” plant with this mix 15 days before it goes into flower, then once every 5 days thereafter, until the plant really starts looking like crap or male flowers or both happen. I’ll just place a large female clone right next to it across from the fan.
I’ve never reversed a plant before, fems aren’t really my thing…but to self a clone you love to further explore the line…well…that’s pretty cool in my book.
Anyone with STS experience please chime in if you see anything glaringly wrong with the methodology.
