TOR can be defeated by close surveillance of entry and exit nodes. It’s still a worthy tool for the individual, but the brutal, honest truth is that quantum computing has or will soon completely eliminate the utility of conventional encryption.

Bingo! Nail on head here… the one thing that I will point out is that the Quantum expressions used to decrypt can be used to encrypt as well. We don’t know if this is a true statement as QC is way in it infancy. It will be interesting to see what direction cryptography will take when QC is mainstream.
