It looks happy to me. Now, just don’t get in a hurry. Just let the little girl take her time. They won’t take much water the first few weeks. As it gets bigger it’ll need a little more.
The plant is tiny, and the root system hasn’t even developed yet so, that’s why you don’t water much at first. The tiny plant just has no capacity to drink much. So, if you overwater it, it will overwhelm and drown the plant eventually.
That’s about the biggest beginning mistake people make. At first it’s really hard to not want to rush it along but just let it chug on at it’s on schedule. If it gets too dry it will get soft and droop over. Don’t worry it won’t die, just give it a watering and it will straighten up in about 20 min.
Once the seedling gets it’s first true leaves you can start to think about giving it a real light feeding. It’s the same as in the veg stage but just dillute it back a lot. Sort of common sense. As it get’s bigger the needs will grow along with it.
So, not a lot to do in the early stages except wait. If you put a tiny seedling like that out in the sun right away that can overwhelm it and kill it if not taken away in time.
Jus ease it in to the outside sun. A little at a time first, or sit in the shade a day or so first. Every chance you get keep reading up on the next step.Ypu’ll have lots of time to anticipate what happens next.
Oh, and a rule of thumb is when the plant is getting bigger and the stems/leaves have on the plants reach the outside of the cup or starter pot, it’s about time to move it up into the next bigger pot.
Most people put them in a bigger pot but not the final one, although you can do that. If you take a seedling out of a starter cup and put it into a 5 gallon pot of dirt, it will seem like the plant is just sitting there but it will take a tiny plant a week or two for the roots to reach the bottom of the pot and that’s when the growth will start up top again. So, generally ease up in pot size, too.
The seedling looks perfect! That’s a good start! Good luck and best vibes to you. You’ll get more addicted as every new day comes and goes. It’s a load of fun. Plus, lots of people grow gardens or flowers, too, once you get all of this gardening bug in you! peace
