Whats anyones thoughts on if Washington will pass rec grow? I am so close to getting a job on the Oregon, Washington border and the only downside is if I move to Washington I can’t rec grow without a med card. Do you see it passing anytime soon?
…Washington doesn’t have legal weed?
The more you know…
oh holy shit they just don’t let you grow it at home… that’s fucked up.
Beautiful part of the world to be in, either way. Enjoy that. Wow.
Hopefully it passes. You’d think there would be a strong community there to work on that.
Its legal for possession but not growing.
You’d be better off getting a cheap med card (if that exists there). If it does pass the recreational max is 6 plants (10 per household w peeps). A doctor can ok 15 if you’ve got a mean case of irritable bowel syndrome…
Yeah, if i get there, me or the wife will work on the card if needed. Im not a big smoker, i enjoy growing the most. I probably smoke 1 time every 2 weeks.
I don’t smoke much either. But I like learning about the damn plants. And varieties. Especially landrace/heirloom ones. And I like to grow things. Adults should be free to grow plants.
Mean guys with big money/guns & bible thumpers do a lot of damage in relation to their demographic size.
Agreed. Not so much the gun owners because I support that. The main issue is the brainwashed people who think they can make something illegal that was created with earth. True bible believers would know it was created for consumption but years of brainwashing has led to false beliefs How can you make something illegal that grows natural?
I am a resident of Washington state, Spokane County in particular, my whole life. I’ve been in the shadows providing medicine for my mom for the past 20 years for my wife 16 years and for me most of my adult life. It’s really sad that growing recreationally has not passed. It’s unfair I think. I hope it passes soon, but it seems like every time it gets close. They just push it off to the side or forget about it. I feel like they don’t want to make it recreationally legal because it would take money out of the pockets of the ones who profit from the dispensaries and the commercial grow ops. Regardless of all of that, I’m still going to provide flowers for my mother for my wife and myself, I’ll happily go to jail again for it. And again. And again.
Postscript. It is a beautiful state and I wouldn’t wanna live anywhere else to be honest. I am grateful for our four seasons, beautiful forests and kind people.
Well said!![]()
I’m over here in Pierce County and I supply 3 medical patients. I hope they legalize growing but I can’t stop won’t stop. No way I can afford to buy and I don’t like the quality here. It has to be pre packaged so usually too old and dry no terps etc.
Just retired out there and moved back to Ohio just in time to benefit from that. It’s a beautiful thing. ![]()
I lived in Tacoma and Puyallup for about 10 years and in Roy for the last 25 until last year. I loved Washington State, especially where we lived at out there in the middle of nowhere. I sure could not afford to retire there though. I left a huge piece of my soul in those mountains out there. I yearn for that air, and that water!
Yes I’m actually in Elk Plain about 30 minutes from Mt Rainier and I’m itching to go fishing right now
I’m going to my papas property about 45min- 1hour north of spokane up highway 2 this weekend. It’s a little ways past a small town called Cusick. He has some property out in the forest that’s abundant with huckleberry’s when they are ready, but this weekend I’m going up there to see if the morels are coming up yet
. While I’m up there I’m going to drowned some worms in the creek and see if I can’t pull me a few brookies out for supper. I love this state.
I lived in SE Wash my whole life outside of some gov. sponsored ventures elsewhere. I sure do wish some of you guys lived around here.
I lived in sw Washington for 10 years, amazing place I miss a lot. I lived on the Columbia in Kalama just north of Vancouver,wa.
I could see Oregon from my house where it was legal to grow but it was not allowed on my side of the river. Such a bummer
Looks like 75 ft out my back door out there.
