We all like a heavy bag of pot / weed, but the plant doesnt like the pot too heavy, it either gets bogged down due to over watering, rot, mildew, all have the chance to thrive, if th epot on the branches gets too heavy they just bend or snap.
@Smokinsammy as long as the water is ph corrected 
and within the correct ranges 6.0-6.2ph for soil
