They are pollen sacs

Ya its pollen sacks.

Under stressful conditions, a female plant might try and self-pollinate as a last ditch effort to make seed before dying. Remember, a plant’s ultimate goal is to reproduce and pass on its genes. This process of self-pollinating is referred to as ā€œrodelizationā€, and was the way that early feminized seeds were first produced. While a male plant can pass on either an X or Y chromosome, a female plant (XX) only passes on an X chromosome (female) to it’s progeny, resulting in female/feminized seeds. Those ā€œbananasā€ may or may not produce viable pollen.

Nanners. If that pollen is fertile the seeds that come off that will be females. If you breed with that pollen theres a good chance that herm tendencies will pass to the next gen though is what sucks but if your looking to grow a head stash and dont want to deal with males its one way of going about it.I had one of my Pink Lemonade cuttings do this and i let it make seeds and i planted 11 seeds and so far 11 females.I let my plant go way beyond its normal chop time and i grew it until it almost fell off the vine.

Its a hermy. Toss it.

What why? Cant chop it n smoke it? It is just about done…
And there are only 2 of these on the whole plant

I mean its nothing i would keep around to grow again or make seeds with. Its not harmful for you to smoke though.

Nanners. Indeed. Can we move on to that cool ass second pic. Hoping to learn something from OG. Not a ā€˜bleeder’ but some kinda sap. Fresh.

Peace

You should make an edible with it. Like a cannabis maple caramel. Squish a little cannabutter up with it. I bet itd be interesting.

*dont smoke it though, its just sap and will taste like burning sugar. Hi brix

I would 100% have already eaten it by now, haha and the nanners

Ba-Nanners foster?

If your not breeding with it and only intend to smoking it just pick off the bananas when you see them

How long in flower ?
If it’s late in flower they may be sterile

Also if you can keep it away from them main bunch it could pollinate the other plants

Its very late in flower all my plants are so im not to worried il be chopping em in a couple of days max a week.

I put it on my finger and ate it. It tasted like nothing…(quite dissapointing ik.)

OK so my 2 cents on nanners so that you don’t potentially throw out nice smoke:

–it’s a solid indicator not to run that specific plant again, toss any clones & don’t keep the seeds unless it’s a real keeper for some crazy reason. Think about it, Chemdog was a bag seed & is still one of the most popular strains to this day 50 yrs later :man_shrugging:

–this could just be a bad/picky phenotype, I’d still try more seeds and see if they do the same thing, then decide from there if you ditch or keep it.

Nanners aren’t the end of the world, per se, but should be the ā€œend of the roadā€ for anything kept, bred or shared in my opinion

Don’t toss the plant. Pluck the nanners off and let it keep going. Just watch for more in the coming weeks.

You’ll still get a nice harvest. Maybe you’ll find a couple seeds in the buds. Maybe not.

A female plant that herms should be removed from any breeding programs. But it’s not the end of the world for a home grower.

I’ve had this on a couple plants before, dipped a toothpick in it and it did taste sweet!
