seen this growth pattern before to different degrees.
I think it looks like a virus, but not sure.
what do you think?
Jelly Donut s1 from happy bird:
btw, I have another seed of it popped. it looks normal like most of the autos i pop. I had this same deformity on all the SM colombian gold beans i got from this same seedbank.

I’m wondering if its over-watered due to the algae on top or if that’s because of the clear container.

I’ve recently been popping alot of auto fems, S1’s included. And I’ve discovered that the self’d variety tends to do weird things the most.
I’ve actually culled plants to re-sow after seeing abnormal and slow growth. Self’d seeds can also show you hermi’s in the genepool.
I’d watch it an be prepared to drop another.
Do you have other plants around the same age to compare it to?

oh, ya, i popped like 10 autos and 2 of this strain. the other looks great/normal. the rest are normal. I ran some colombian gold a while back and both beans did this, but worse. and, they never grew really.
I was worried it was a viroid/virus.

no, not overwatered. 100pct perlite does that at first. it goes brown eventually…i’ve grown a hundred plants or more like this. it’s always the same. and, no light in the bucket…it’s covered with reflective insulation.
