Well Marigolds are always kick ass for deterring bugs! My clover right now has all the bees flocking to my yard and that weed pops up on it’s own. A lot of these seeds will end up as more container grows as well. Nasturtiums are also great companions for veggies! As for your front and back planters, I’ll take a look when we visit on Sunday. I have to see the spots first.

Your clover, is it more than a year old? I thought you said you just planted it a little while ago and I was always told it didn’t usually start flowering until the second season.

This is clover that has been here every year as long as I can remember. It’s the damn dutch white clover that I keep trying to germ in the newest beds that I can’t get to take. I have like one patch that did. Have sown literally hundreds of the damn seeds and they just won’t grow. It’s so frustrating!

Oh yeah! Gonna mass plant rows of nasturtiums, cilantro and marigolds all around them though. Keep the creepy crawlies down.

Remind me to show you the stuff I got at the Despot. Am going to put it out in the front lawn (well what there is of it) instead of grass, as it seems to be a hell of a lot more “drought tolerant”. I did a test in a planter with a really small amount of seeds and it exploded. Even let it dry out for three week, before we started to get the rain and it stayed green and actually grew while drying out.

I’m only growing dwarf sunflowers from now on. Last year’s giants were fun but cost a fortune to stake just so the wild parrots could eat all of my seeds! Oh and I have massive amounts of alyssum seeds, after we get a decent rain, I’m gonna throw those seeds EVERYWHERE!

Everything I ordered this time and last was from Park Seeds. The dwarfs I have coming are the Sunny Smile. They are like a foot tall

@Jetdro Well, @cannabissequoia is driving down from Northern Cali and we plan to visit @WMoon518 who is about 30 miles from me. It’s kinda like Homegrowers world tour… Cali edition! We’ve all only met on OG so far! It’s gonna be fun having a big ole pow wow, trade our weed, talk about plants, talk smack and generally smoke out!

My bf knows I have an internet visitor coming as well and I’m certain he will be stopping in to smoke out with us. Honestly though, I’m not worried in the slightest. We are all a bunch of cool people.
