Yeah, mine just started. Did you get daffodils, well if you have them? Most of my varieties have come and gone. All of those bulbs I understand, but it’s still pretty early for all the summer bulbs that are popping. They will pretty much come up and just stall out in full veg for at least a month or two before they start flowering. Although, summer according to my Gladiolas is May. The lilies are usually later, but they are coming up too. I don’t really know what’s going on out there. Seems most things are confused. I’ve noticed that the asiatic lilies flower earlier than the good smelly oriental varieties

Just noticed, comfrey had it’s first leaves 19 days ago.

I have a few daffodils but they never flower much not sure what’s up with that!

Either need bone meal again or it’s too cold. You may do better if you lift them. Total Pain in the Ass if you ask me, but you’ll have gorgeous spring flowers. Maybe try some snow drops and lily of the valley instead oh and crocus. Those are cold hardy af

I hopefully can get some cuttings from most things , unfortunate my days are numbered for viewing and enjoying all things planted at my place.

True that. Sorry my friend. Big Hugs to you. Eventually though you can plant new things and a fresh start and watch them grow!

You do know that the elusive “TP Tree” is one of the hardest plants to grow, don’t you? :rofl:

I wish you luck.

I wandered into the garden section of all places, Walmart, and got mesmerized at all of the bulbs. It’s like all adult hobbies, not cheap… I coulda spent a hundred fast without even trying. You have ruined me I believe. I’m holding off because I’m doing a lot of major landscaping changes at my place so no sense in planting until I finish. But, I could see getting hooked on bulbs.

For me, it’s a no brainer because the smell of flowers is my favorite thing and like 75% of the best and strongest scented flowers are bulbs. Aside from that, they are also easy as hell, multiply on their own and watching them coming up from the soil every year is just as exciting as watching a seed sprout! :green_heart: Unfortunately, some types will need to be lifted (in your zone), critters like to dig them up and snatch them and sometimes grubs will get them under ground. They can be pricey too. Mostly, they completely rock though! :rofl:

… . :shopping_cart::checkered_flag:
One saving grace is they can be dug up & replanted wherever & most propogate by division but I’ve seen seeds too. :v:

They do make seeds, but it takes years to get them to finally sprout. That is too much patience for me

Slept in. Man, that felt good. The sun is shining until tomorrow. Thinking I may fool around outside. I have another african violet that needs to be divided also thinking of starting some more flats of seeds. Outdoors though, no mini greenhouse. Haven’t drowned the tiny petunia sprout yet and found 2 new blue dianthus sprouts. Nothing else popped. bahhhhh

This damn thing is supposed to be a weed. For me, it has been a finicky mofo! It hates fertilizer, won’t give me flowers and I think I’ve had it for like 8 years now! It frustrates me! It is on my cinder block wall so it can travel pretty far if it wants and won’t screw up anything, luckily.
