Damn that comfrey looks good already mine is just starting to pop through along with some hop tips… start looking now for hop rhizomes if anyone is interested!
I’m not sure if I can do it this year but I’m going to try growing hops here. I loved growing them before. They’re a cousin of cannabis and I swear in a way they’re almost as fun to grow.
My comfrey is peeking, sort of like it doesn’t trust this early spring. Which hops are you growing? I did Cascade and Nugget and a few others but those two produced heavy yields and are easier to grow.
Comfrey this morning. It’s really taking off
The Perricalis happy in it’s home
Strawberries
The 2nd carnations, single petal. Like dianthus on long stems
The half barrel planter i started. Dwarf Nasturtiums in the back, rose geranium and a creeping jenny
The 2 big pots of seeds I started last month…
Sibella carmine
And the Dichondra
Cannabis seeds are still sleeping
I still like those Perricalis. They look like they’re plugged into electricity!
They look fake to me. A jedi mind trick. The force is strong in them. lol They’re marked as annuals, but I’m gonna see if they are really a perennial here. If so, I believe I can get them to come in taller next year.
They do sort of look too good to be real, ha.
More babies showing face… all 3 pink salvia and an orange balm sprout. All celosias are up except the bombay cockscomb type. I bought these really pricey fuseable seeds that are petunia/bacopa combo. Wonder if they will come up at all. Petunias are such a bitch outdoors. Time will tell
Screw it. I’m gonna ask dad to hook up that grow light i found in the garage, so I can germ some tricky seeds. Well once they lift the stay at home order
'Pretty sure we can find some 'heads to 'blow up your garage. 6-8kw. Put that Trump 1200 to work. They do that in LA you know…
Sunflower opening
Brodaia Rudy starting
Verbena
Sweet peas moving along
Possible rain again. Pretty gray out here
Gorgeous sunflower
Thanks! For the life of me I can’t remember the variety. I planted it in the fall. It stalled out all winter. It’s a 5 foot variety though. I grew the mammoths last year and it cost me 50 bucks to stake them. They looked bitchen, but not worth the headache. Plus when all was said and done a flock of wild parrots showed up and stole all of my seeds. Fuckers! lol
TS! You get flowers all year being down there near the equator!
and 24-hour doughnuts
Hey @MomOnTheRun the lilies you sent me think 65 degrees is summer here. Look how short they are and they formed flowers already! Fortunately the flower buds look normal sized. lol. I bet they will figure it out by next year
I figured they would as thats about when they start coming up here…they are going to do amazing in your yard!
Yup! Here they stay fairly small though branch out more every year forming a nice bouquet. i am very excited to see how they do in your climate
Have you taken any pics of the yard, as a whole? Would be interested in seeing how they are filling up the beds.
BTW… How is my comfrey coming along…
Still looks pretty empty. I’ll show more whole yard pics in a few months when it’s filled in more
I don’t know… I was thinking how full it was starting to look, knowing things will fill in soon. All of the hard work you guys put in shows. It’s looking real clean and intentful! heh.
