Welcome to Meesh's Garden

That monkey flower is odd. The raspberry looks really nice. I may have to buy some to try. I have a small patch but it never has bloomed. The lady who put it there never got fruit off of it. I have to learn more about them. I rented a place long ago that had them and they did so fine. One gave a harvest twice a year.

Okra? You have night time temps above 80 degrees? No point otherwise. (This was long my favorite veggie)

Wow that Mimulus looks like an orchid a bit! Beautiful.

Howdy @Olbrannon
Overnight low temps are between 73 to 76 or so right now, but I started the Okra about 10 days ago indoors in my incubation closet. I will be putting them outdoors in a couple of weeks into a raised bed. I am growing Burpeeā€™s Clemson Spineless, which are yummy and easy to work with.
They sure do love the hot weather which is coming soon. I havenā€™t grown them for a couple of years because I was in South Carolina. But they always do very well down here in SoFla.

I forgot you lived down there. Was thinking Cali for some odd reasonā€¦

Binge watched most of ā€˜Boschā€™ the last week. Suspect you would enjoy it.

I am having a tough time of it here. The only boiled peanuts are in cans ā€¦terrible. And no one up here even grows fresh peanuts.

Yes, I liked Bosch, itā€™s almost as good as the books. I finished the 6th season recently.

Iā€™ve been waiting on Dad to finish Season 6 so I can watch it. I use his prime so I didnā€™t want to throw him off where he left off as he started before me. lol

Getting really pretty out here

3 blooms now. This lily is epic

Dwarf morning glories. The annuals lived through winter. Blooming again

The best news is my sweet peas all dropped their flower pods. I should start seeing full flowers probably next week. Actually I will probably smell them long before I see them.

If anyone is interested, I can try to root some cuttings off of my new scented geraniums and mail them to you. They are kind of hard to find. At least here they are. I could try one or 2 from the rose scented one now and a few off of the peppermint one in probably a month or so after itā€™s fully established in itā€™s new home. Just let me know. The only thing Iā€™ve ever rooted from a cutting is a succulent which are stupid easy, so Iā€™m willing to try the geraniums. Both of them smell absolutely heavenly. However, I believe anyone under zone 10 will have to bring them inside in winter.

How about the Avocado tree, or the Macadamia tree? :slightly_smiling_face:

Trust me, no one wants a macadamia nut tree. They are messy, huge and itā€™s impossible to open those mother effen nuts. Not to mention the critters that like to hang out in there. Plus, I had it cut down recently. Best I can do on the avo is send you a seed to plant the old fashioned way. I have no idea how to root a tree from a cutting. lol

I thought you still had the Mac Tree, sorry. As to the Avo, I will print out a little ā€œboxā€ on my BRAND NEW 3D PRINTER (HAHAHAHAHA - Gotta love my Uncleā€¦Sam). If you want to ā€œrootā€ a cutting from a tree, you peel away a portion of the bark, on new growth fill the box with soil and put it around the area. In a few weeks, you take it off, and cut below the roots and Bobā€™s youā€™re Uncle.

Geraniums are very easy to clone.
Just cut right below a node.
They root pretty quickly in soil-less mix (ProMix)

Should I dip the end in honey?

New planter I made yesterday. Still a bit wonky until they settle in. Anyway, million bells, petunias and euphorbia

Never used honey, only standard rooting hormone powder.

I donā€™t have any rooting powder, so Iā€™m gonna try honey and some transplant formula I have from the soil test people. Someone is interested in my scented geraniums. Iā€™m gonna try it this weekend. Oddly enough, I love this mission. I have such a special love of the plants I have in my garden from Alaska that @MomOnTheRun sent and my string of pearls plant from @Olbrannon inā€¦ is it Massachusetts? So, sending a Cali plant from my garden makes me happy. What is it with us gardeners? We just love to give our plants and veggies and all of our garden spoils away. For some reason, my garden means more when I can share it.
