Welcome to Meesh's Garden

How weird! Mine look really healthy and came from Cali. My guess is the grower has had the same plants forever and just propagates cuttings and plants from that. It’s certainly not fresh off the boat, so I’m sure it’s okay. It’s crazy the weird stuff that comes from other countries. No wonder they are so strict with ag laws. Cali has been crazy strict since the med fly incident in the 80’s. They’ve never eased up since.

Yikes, that’s creepy.
I’m glad that I grew mine from seeds.
This is shaping up to be the year of the microbes

Do they turn into colors? Every plant is so cool, huh? The more you dig in to natures treasures the more you come out amazed. Have fun! Getting to be go time in your area I suppose. We’re getting warm weather but we had 7% humidity today.

That’s punishing! Time to hook the fire hydrant to a bunch of sprinklers on the roof! :cloud_with_rain:

I stayed up at the lake kayaking most of the day. heh… I’m going to force myself to stay home today and do the yard work. Unless I run up there right now for an hour… before the wind starts up.

The 7% humidity is compounded with 15-25 winds every day. Nice and calm right now and a couple of degrees cooler today. Then going back to the 70’s in a few days. All in all not too bad this year.

Not sure why but we have a moth invasion on us. I thought they just blew in with the wind one day but they’ve been here a week. About an inch and a quarter… good size… Never seen this many at once like this. They should die out soon, I hope.

No. They just get long spikes full of these bells. They look really nice in a flower arrangement.

Holy chapstick! Being from So Cal, I don’t even know what 7% humidity even means. lol

If I had a lake to kayak during this lockdown, I’d be on it and def not doing yard work!! Enjoy as long as you can!

If you have cannabis out there def start a weekly BT spray. With moths come a jillion caterpillars!

It’s seems to me that those pesky miller’s (moths) are cyclic in nature every few years maybe?

I’ve been meaning to ask you that. It’s huge and flowering. Should I pull the leaves and put them in a bucket under a brick?

Chop and drop right on top of your soil If ya want and in a week and a bit more maybe they’ll be pretty much decomposed and water in , easy peasy

You can soak for several days and strain it or put it in a painters strainer bag chopped up and dilute it out later of ya want to make it go further.

Comfrey is a bio accumulator plant. It uptakes and stores all of the nutrients in the area it’s growing and that’s why it’s so good as a fertilizer or tea.
