Welcome to the Jungle

Acts like a plug in air freshener, right now I’m fumigating the house with some dank ass Exodus Cheese, the scent is dead skunk and and sweet rotting fruit…mmmmmm. Luckily it’s her favorite…:metal::sunglasses:

I’ve yet to find her favorite! Use to was all for in then boom makes her go silent but crazy in the head at same time. Not good combine bc I’m on the other side staring off into space like nothing’s wrong. Now it’s always smells like dog shit or cat piss but I’m like no it smells like lemon pledge with a hint of 20 different things. Lol she just doesn’t understand.

Maui Wowie x Platinum Pineapple
Look how kind the stems are on the big fans and the 90 degree angle they come off, I may up pot her to a 5 gallon.

Here’s the GG4 clone, notice, red/purple petioles and stalks in veg, missing or stunted small fronds on the fan leafs, later, twisting and arching fan leaf…

GG4 S1 clone testing for stability, mother was tortured throughout Veg to try to induce stress hermie…no go, she seems stable, only problem is she stopped stacking trich and is consentrating on stacking Calyxs, she is a “snow cap” pheno like Toni Green describes and GG is known to come on BIG the last few weeks, I’m going to flush all plants this weekend as the rooms getting full again and everyone’s fighting for space.

The Choc. Thai bush I need to get 2000 seed from almost in the window for some artificial insemination of all top sites her little twin is a month behind Justin case…

Mayor McCheese finishing up, I like her with less LST I think…

Head stash, DTHF II (fast pheno Sativa heavy?) start flower 2/20…looking good to finish under 60 days on 4/20.

Spears up and down…

Sis is more shapely with tighter nodes…

The smell off her when snap pruning is liqueur and paint thinner…
Next test is to see how big we can grow her sister a month behind her

Nothing to see here, just a bunch of the Platinum Pineapple x testers, totally tropical, think Hawaiian Punch and Tropical Starburst!!

Fighting new ballasts heat, may go back to the digitals and only use Magnetic in the winter…starting to warm up here.

I switched to some free digital solistek and they seem to be well used,. One of them is flickering and so I’m making the change back to my perfectly functional mag ballasts

If I had the heat issues it might be a problem moving back to the mag ballasts.

Those magnetic ones, sure do throw some heat.
That’s a pretty good idea switching for seasons.

Are you possibly interested into switching to led’s for summer?

Thought about it but was told for a 8’ x 8’ area and get what my 2 - 1250W on digiboost give me in penetration was not feasible with economy LED’s. I run raised shelves for distance to source, try and keep my plants under 6 ‘ these days. Happy to hear any suggestions as I eat up the electric bill. …

I use screw in led bulbs, 35w/sq.ft for bloom. Spread and adjust for height as needed. Can be easily and cheaply done with keyless sockets on plywood or strips of wood. I use bathroom vanity light strips, just got enough for my new veg tent.

I use digital switchable ballast, bought some vivosun ballast and they do pretty good. I even use the vivosun bulbs. 1000 watt with boost. Run boost all the time. Got em on eBay for 90$. And seem to be a little easier on the electric bill. Compared it with my brother who uses magnetic

How many total watts you running?

315w (based on advertised 15w draw on each bulb) in a 3x3 for bloom. plus the four 13w cfl for UV supplementation, I really don’t count them towards the usable wattage. I don’t have a killawatt meter to check actual draw.
Week 7 of bloom

The veg tent is not set up yet, but will be running 15 of the 9w bulbs on each 4x1.5ft shelf, for 22ish watts per sq ft.

Cool beans, that’s what I plan on running when I make the migration indoors in the future… A 3x3 in that wattage range. I really like how perfect that size space is for my needs and what it will produce. The plug and play lights seem convenient, but I like the idea of building my own setup and customizing it. Yours seem practical cause if one bulb burns out then you can easily replace it without having to lose the whole rig. Did you do a thread on setting it up?

I like compact fluorescents except they contain mercury. I’m guessing that has something to do with the UVB production cause mercury vapor bulbs are also used for basking reptile UVB requirements for vitamin D3 production and calcium uptake.

Good chance of pulling monkeypaw genetics out of the F-2 if you made seed

Passing them out like Johnny Appleseed as we speak, watch your mail…there’s a black pheno that was about 20% of the seeds I dropped.

We have a nice break in the weather tomorrow and Wednesday. I’ll send that pollen out for you Wednesday… the oaxacan are all showing early resin. I’ve yet to see another sativa that pumped out resin like that so early. They look like they are going to be nice and potent.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Update: Spent 6 years learning to grow buds without seeds and clones only, the last year on here I have concentrated on making seeds, Learning and listening to the plants. Observing Natural growth rather than working the plants with LST and SOG. I have also been on a little mission to grow and learn about as many of the strains from my youth into the 90’s growing many of the foundation strains (that I can put a name to ) that make up the base of most of the Poly - Hybrids that dominate the market. I am now into the 90’s and the first few that I will work into breeding later are C-99 Bros. Grim., Killer Queen Bros. Grim, and Full Moon by Nirvana continued.

Up and coming us a search for RKS through 15 strains said to throw Stink Phenos. I’ll be dropping the first 8 strains around the 5th and the second batch of 8 strains on 4/20. Anyone wanting to grow along is welcome, goal is to find abs isolate a “three day old dead skunk laying in Front of a pile of burning tires” via pollen collection and clones of the Usual suspects for a selection program and seed run later in the year.

After the Skunks comes a run of all my fruit gear and then breeding season will commence in the hot summer months.
