I hope this…
…didn’t spook you, my friend.
My presumptuousness of offer is based on the knowledge that I have, that you were unaware of until just now, that I actually have a known history of engaging in such activities, pets included. Again, something you were unaware of but I certainly knew when the utterance was made .
I had access to “DispensarieS” for a good long time, as well.
I hope wherever you’re at, and what ever the situation, you and yours are at .

Cool thread. I enjoy all of your toils tho I may not be very vocal here in the whab
hi whab with nearly all modern devices with motors they use the modern crappy brushless type hence after short time of use they slow down as well as get noisier but since these same awful motors often have no bearings as such and run dry, unlubricated but if you add any lube then all the dust dirt and dog hair sticks to the places that the motor revolves in and make it tight, basically there just crap! the local hydro shop are fed up seeing me bringing fans back many times and tried to refuse swap after 3rd time in a few months!
cant buy decent fans in the uk all chinky rubbish i must have ten dead ones laying around!
heated clothing helps me i even have heated seat in my wheelchair which is brill for the dogwalk in the snow!
can you not curl up in the groom with the plants?warmest place in my house is the drobes, sadly a bit small for me,peace
Inflation just jacked my gas bill up to $1845 for 720 pounds of fuel.
This may motivate us to switch over to wood heat…sigh.
Upside is one bleeds a lot less below zero?
I throughly enjoy watching your progress with the old school house!
Cheers @WhiteHotAfterburner, always enjoy rocking in The Schoolhouse! Happy Holidays!
Many thanks, @Cartwright!

Sorry, brother…I absentmindedly omitted you from the list, Likely due to your late appearance on this thread.
I do apologize. I should have caught it.
Thank you, my old friend!
Yeah, I get a little queasy opening envelopes any more. I know what ever is in there isn’t going to positively effect me
I feel ya, bro! Cord wood prices are way up, too, of course.
Yes, one bleeds more slowly, maybe not “bleeds less”, in colder climes!

Hey duke!
I took it apart. It is in remarkably good shape. Hardly even dirty, relatively.
One of the corner screw posts, the plastic screw tower the screw screws in to, is broken. It must have been dropped. It’s twin is broken, its base is broken, as if it also was dropped.
Maybe they had a throw your electronic devices on the floor party? Is that a thing?!?!
Otherwise, just a bit of dust collected on the face of heating element and minor dirt that collects on spinning fan blades,
I’m hoping we completely decouple from China. They are not a good partner.
Regards, Duke!,

Thank you, brother @Tejas, your involvement really is appreciated. You’ve been great help and good conversation

First, the Frozen Hot Water supply to the tub is thawed! For the SAVE! After hours of having that Space Heater (I found the maker - Atomi. Good product!) pointing directly on the plumbing I touched the hot water side and it was still frozen to the touch. I moved the heater closer to that pipe and around 2am it broke free.
As stated above, I did take that Whiny Heater apart, even though it had quit whining for that short time I had it on to test it.
To restate, when I opened it up, the first thing I noticed was the heating element was out of place. Not tightly fitted into its snap-in-place home, probably drop damage.
In this first image, you can see the broken screw tower still attached to the screw that once held it together. Bottom right hand corner. That black bit against the white case.
A little dirty but way cleaner than I expected to see. I’ve taken some of these improperly maintained devices apart and have been surprised anything would or could rotate in the mess!
Again, the fan is a little dirty. I’ve seen way worse. But, what is remarkable here is the chatter marks completely around the fan shroud. It’s crewed up like something has been loose running around that shroud for every minute it was ever in use. It’s beat up. I have no idea why. I’m sure I am the first person to take this thing apart. You can plainly see the jagged edges.
I cleaned it up. I put 1 drop of Light Oil down the shaft of the motor, and I’m going to put it in service back where I lay my head down. I’ll take the Oil Filled heater back off-line. It works, but it’s not controllable, and it’s not putting out the heat I need back there, right now before the invasion of Cold is terminated in that back window. It was 43F when I laid down. That’s a 43 indicated on the heater. I don’t know what the actual temps are back there.
I’m going to take a look at that window now, after , that is .
Maybe a , too? .

I don’t believe this is how I left it when I cut the tightly-fit wood blocks to lock the window from being opened from the outside.
Those same wood blocks are now at least a 1/2 inch short.
This is how I found it the other day…
You can see the offset pretty well here, for 2D images, that is
The bottom kicked-in or settled in since I set it in place. This A/C unit was used and given to me to use. No instructions, no hardware.
The top of the accordion slides are exactly where it needs to be…
I relocated it in the opening, it still doesn’t fit right. Those accordion flaps do not line up with the slot in the window frame its designed to ride in. Not even close. I fit it in as best as I could.
This Frog brand tape is about to piss me off (below)…it keeps tearing in spots it decides on and not the one I decide on…it’s acting like a too old roll of tape. It is not old, I only recently bought it.
Still a slight bit of cold coming through but it seems to be the vent openings.
That should help a lot until I can build that shelf out and better insulate it.
Note the Orange bit in the bottom right corner. Those are Lady Bugs. They’re Wintering there, it seems. There are 2 other groups Wintering in the first window I insulated. I let them be.
Good morning, everyone!
Merry Christmas, everyone! (everyone that engages in such activities, that is )!
I hope you all have a Joyous and Peaceful Day with Family and Loved Ones!!!
Make it a great day!

Merry Christmas WHAB!
gorilla tape is the best it sticks anything forever, only trouble is being one handed its a devil of a chore getting the bugger to unroll! i built my first grow drobe 8 years ago and the gorilla tape is still as it was then,a bit dustier but intact.
we have found the little bungalow we have to be well insulated a big change from caravans we are used to for many years, been 10 yrs and this space still seems huge!i hope the cold passes as quick as here in uk,happy christmas
She’s doing better than before. They’re actually taking steps forward. We had to drive over to Michigan from Wisconsin, and boy was that a blast. So we’re here and the tension is high. Can’t wait to have some time to catch up on all the stuff I missed here. I enjoy the mediocre of being home and the family not around.
Merry Christmas!
Also, my cat sitter said the water stopped coming out of my faucets yesterday. Ugh. I had her lug the t-handle wrench out to the corner, locate the meter, and turn it off. Haha. It’s gonna be a fun trip home.
Very sad! Many good guys are gone
You are the learner. I was wondering and watching, but you proved it, that’s for sure!
I am so sorry for leaving this hang here so long. Dang!
I know I meant to respond but it doesn’t look like I ever did.
My bad, my friend!
Merry Christmas, belatedly
