I didn’t get much done but it’s something. I had to empty this space first.

The Cloning Machine II is just there until I find a more permanent place for it. I ‘think’ that is where the large reservoir will be tentatively located.

I used “large” reservoir because I am trying to arrange picking up a 30 gallon barrel from a friend for free, for use with the 2 gallon buckets - wherever I ‘may’ use that system. It looks like I could come back to the 1924 Schoolhouse with a couple of Ol’School 3 Wheelers (unsure of condition), too. disco

Since I wanted to move the door anyway, I temporarily slid it in to its eventual location.

Then I pushed it into the space between that new short wall and the Electrical Service until that time (or I put an exterior on that wall).

I have decided I’m going to install it upside down. The bottom is the part that was previously cut off. I have to trim about 1-1/2 inch to fit the opening and taking it off the top will sort of balance the cuts out. And, the swing and hinges are all on the correct sides. Will likely have to flip the hinge-halves so the hinge pin is where it is designed to be to function properly and not fall out - maybe.

Cleaning/clean and vacuumed.

That odd wall where 2 inch rigid foam is ‘looking’ like a solution.

6 5 gallon bucket simulation…

6 5 gallon bucket simulation with 2 gallon buckets above them.

Why not?

Good morning!

Make it a great day!

2 things…

My neck is hurting again frown

My 2022/2023 MMJ Patient and Cultivator License was approved about an hour ago! party-smiley-048

I’m going to try and get a little more rack time and then try and get something done in the under-loft space regardless.

Thirdly  It doesn’t look like the VA is going to get me a bed. They suggested I go through Medicare. Then they told me I don’t qualify for Medicare because I’m not 65 ROFLMAO

I have tried every which way.

I will try and buy a quality Orthopedic type bed on my own going forward - on a payment plan, hopefully.

I am trying to wrangle a Orthopedic pillow out of them right now. They say they can provide me one. I just need to make sure we’re talking about the same thing, then some rack time! They offering me a “neck support pillow” or a “memory foam pillow”.

Without seeing them, I am not certain what would fit my needs.

I just asked the Nurse to send me the memory foam pillow and I’ll see IF it will work for me.

I just received a message saying the pillow has been ordered.

I think it might be remarkable for some of you to know I am communicating with my VA Health Care providers right now - in real time, as I’m composing this message. rockon

I hope you’re ALL making it a great day!

Maybe I’ll tokie then try and get a little more rest!

If you haven’t tried massage therapy yet, you should. A licensed certified masseuse can get into the problem areas to reduce the discomfort. I started using a massage therapist 30 years ago to address a groin pull. I have been going once a week ever since.

Hello friend!

I used to get a Full Chiropractic Adjustment and a Deep Massage consecutively.

I had to stop with the Deep Massage as it caused more pain than it alleviated.

I understand why people choose that route - it just doesn’t work on me.

What’s weird is that the VA was prescribing me narcotics regularly UNTIL the VA Opioid Abuse “scandal” several years ago. Even though I wasn’t abusing them, I wasn’t selling them, and I wasn’t being “over-prescribed” they cut me off.

I was averaging ‘about’ 30 pills over an 18 to 24 month period (and most times I didn’t use even that much, I built up a small reserve). Hardly any of the complaints against them.

Because other people were abusing them, and the VA was over-prescribing - they cut me off.

As an alternative to prescribing anyone narcotics at that exact time, they started authorizing Chiropractic Care and Acupuncture in lieu of Pharmaceutical Poisons - pain medications.

Chiropractic Care works ‘for me’. Now they’re refusing me Chiropractic Care that worked and sent me back to the Pain Clinic for narcotics which they denied me just weeks ago before they saw my recent MRI that they then used that report to deny me that care to then offer me drugs (drugs I don’t really want (but there are days when that is the only things that tamps the pain down)). I have not taking any Pharmaceutical Poisons - pain medications in this days old pain session

facepalm crazy

I do appreciate your opinion regarding your recommendation, friend! I do wish you all the best with what works for you.

Oh, no progress - neck is still really bothering me.

And, I forgot in my update yesterday - I am finally getting my new aCPAP machine that is involved in a manufacturer recall. I registered my recalled devise with Philips Respironics when I fist became aware of the recall back in September.

I never heard anything from Philips.

I mentioned to the VA Sleep Clinic that I had not heard anything from Philips after a few months and they, the VA, ordered one for me and it is coming before I have ever heard anything from Philips.

I pick up my new Philips Respironics DreamStation 2 aCPAP February 1st! Finally!

My husband was a vet and on Medicare. I bought our sleep number bed. It was expensive but he got some sleep and comfort. They do make off brands for less just not sure how well they work.

I don’t believe now that I’ll go with off brand setups. I would want the support of an established brand IF anything were to happen to it.

I’m not sure I’d go with Sleep Number, either.

When I moved to Texas my Texas girlie had a sleep number. The first night we used it it deflated. It had a hole in it. I tried to patch it. It didn’t work. She wound up buying another mattress for it.

I’m not sure if yours has a automatic inflater, I don’t even know if yours has an air mattress (IF they make some conventional mattresses, I have no idea) but I’ve been on some air mattresses that do and I definitely would not buy any bed with an auto-filer.

I am leaning towards a Orthopedic specific type of Adjustable Bed. Serta, Tempur-Pedic…etc. Unless something happens between now and then to change my mind!

I just did a VERY quick scan and I ‘might’ have my mind changed :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I don’t see any of the named brands in any of the “best” of sites I just went through.

More research is required!

I do hope you’re getting proper rest on yours, it is so important!

Thank you for the discussion, my friend!,

I am on my third the first was a queen I got 20 years ago and it is now in my guest room. The 2nd was also a queen I bought for my husband when I need to put him in Memory care for respite care. I gave that one to my 6’6" 300+ 15 year old grandson.

The one I bought in between those two was a king split adjustable base. I had to elevate his legs and head. If it wasn’t split I would have to sleep like a taco :taco:as I am a side sleeper. Since I fractured the ball of my tibia, I now have to elevate my leg as that one swells. I had been looking at the Tempur-Pedic too.
Just hope you get relief.

Two years ago we bought a king sleep number bed and it was a game changer. They are not cheap, but it allows me to adjust the head separately, the foot together and more importantly adjust the mattress firmness or softness on the fly. Since getting the bed my wife and I sleep much better.

I got the total split as he needed both elevated. I was a game changer.

Wow! I just got my neck to “pop” just a little. This pain has typically been handled by my Chiropractor before an episode like this one happens.

I typically did it myself a couple of times a day. Nothing like a Chiropractor can do. But, it is a daily occurrence for me…rarely ever to this degree. I could easily “pop” my neck to prevent it in the past.

Now that I’m being denied Chiropractic Care - and I FULLY understand why (I could be more seriously injured) - I’m not sure how my life is going to go from here on out…without Chiropractic Care.

I was seeing a Chiropractor at least 3 times a week - and have been on that schedule ever since my Spinal Surgery in 1990 was determined to be a “Failed Neck Surgery” (not my words, they’re in quote marks).

The only break in that schedule has been during moves and reestablishing those connections.

My neck still hurts but I can tell I’ve have gotten some neck movement back! woohoo…it still hurts but A LOT less! woohoo

Barring any future injuries (which are very likely, considering), I expect to start getting things done. I gave the 5 gallon bucket controller bucket a bath last night - before I performed my ‘self-adjustment’. Will have to give it a bleach solution bath and rinse, along with the 5 gallon buckets.

I’ll probably replace all of the hoses in and out of the reservoir and controller. I ‘think’ I have enough 3/4 inch hose, I ‘think’.

I hope you’re all making it a great (pain-free) night! tup

I still haven’t taken any Pharmacuetical Poisons through all of this. I probably should have!

My last hurdle to allow me to finish with the Panda Film, which will allow me to get going on the other systems, is done.

This outlet was in the space where an actual wall would have gone had the wall been properly built facepalm winky

I turned off the breaker and was able to get some rigid insulation in there.

Doing the insulation took an inordinate amount of time considering how easy it should have gone! ROFLMAO

I’m not sure how I’m going to reattach it. (I accidentally left the conduit clip on top of one of the other outlets facing out the other side of the wall now behind the insulation! ROFLMAO)

I’m not exactly sure how that outlet will be used in the totality of things. There are no electrical outlets on that cement wall (North Wall), except where I had one installed near where I lay my head down for my aCPAP machine. I ‘may’ get brave and try to install outlets where I need them when I know where I will need them (I may have my “Electrician” do it, alternately winky )

Remember those hinges?

When I went out to the nearly 100 year old 1924 Schoolhouse Shed to get the insulation I found the other half of the antique hinges.

As I saw the hinges over all this time and knew what they were, I tried to keep them together. Success!

I only just then noticed all 6 of the original slot screws are still with them! woohoo

Thinking about it now, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen the hinge pins…they’re not on the door half, I just looked. There is one place I should look before procuring any of my own. There is a plastic bin catch-all that’s been here since I moved in. They might be in there.

Good morning! I have a Sleep Clinic appointment later this AM.

Make it a great day! tup

Very cool! No telling what you will find when you have time to dig around.

Hello friend! wavy

I have not made it out to the shed yet…I suspect, since the rest of the hinges are still here and nearly complete, that the hinge pins must be around here somewhere. I will look around.

Thank you, @Tejas! tup,

I was out and about most of yesterday, besides my Sleep Clinic lab…stocking up for this storm we’re going through. BRRR!

Filling up the gas tank was one of those preparations.

The MOST I’ve ever paid for gasoline! frown

The math comes to 20.8mpg (city and highway driving) - in case you were wondering winky. I almost always keep track of my MPGs.

Speaking of gas, I went in to the Propane providers office to make a ‘payment’ on my most recent propane bill. The bill is $511+. I made a payment of $250 frown.

Again, the most I’ve ever paid for propane! frown

We went from Energy Independence to this in ONE YEAR!!! An exporter of Energy to this!!! Begging OPEC for relief (which they declined to do - SURPRISE)!!! IN ONE YEAR!!! frown

Also, today was my first day in thermals this season. For indoor use, as it goes…it can get pretty cold in here. I hope to prevent what happened last season - getting to the point I had to wear Winter gloves indoors.

Then I spent a good bit of time becoming familiar with my new aCPAP machine. I always try to read directions and manuals completely to become familiar with whatever I’m doing as best as I can.

Not my finger, but is the machine the VA provided me - the Philips Respironics DreamStation 2.

Besides the machine, they let me try another mask…a Philips Respironics DreamWear Full Face Mask.

I was using a mask that fully covered my mouth and nose from my chin to the bridge of my nose.

I saw this one on a display mannequin in the Sleep Clinic.

Not my face ROFLMAO, but is the mask the VA provided me

They gave me a starter kit including all the sizes they offer in that specific type of mask- a variety pack.

I started with the Small mask. I woke up after just a couple/few hours and my tip of my nose was hurting. I switched out to the Large mask and went down for Round 2 of this Rest Session winky. Again, I woke up after just a couple/few hours and the tip of my nose was hurting worse.

I tentatively concluded I must have had the top of the harness cinched up too tight!

I loosened the top straps a bit and did a test fit. I won’t know IF that was what was wrong and will work with the setup until I try and start my next rest session. winky

Back to the Garden Rebuild II…

First, I made the mistake of not bringing my Cutting Board (2x6s I used out on the lawn) in to the Classroom. I’m not sure how I’m going to cut the rest of the Panda Film (black/white) I’ll need to finish cutting it down to the correct height I need.

I may break-down my Festool-ish Multi-Function Table to give me some floor space. That ‘might’ work, it might not.

I have decided on how I’m going to treat the Zipper Door on the West wall. I removed the second to the last stud I built the other day. It is probably a larger opening than I need but I don’t want to get to a point where I need a larger opening on that end of things.

I have decided to used Supervisor Tape (two-faced tapeROFLMAO) IF I have enough of it (I’m not sure as I sit here) and reinforcing with Gorilla Tape stapling. I’m hoping that will hold. I may have to add external supports to prevent the black/white from sucking in.

I did just make my first Garden Rebuild II purchase to fire up the 2 gallon Veg system.

It is expected here Feb 8th, they say winky

I did decide to not reuse my Clay Pellets and bought new. I’ll toss the old clay pellets in my SIL’s outdoor garden area.

I’m also not going to mess around with trying to clean the 1/2 hoses. I bought new and 1/2 clamps for them.

I have my shopping list prepared for the 5 gallon system when I get to that point.

New 3/4 hose, clamps etc…and restocking my stapler!

My stapler is a Arrow 8000 PowerShot Pro Forward-Action Staple Gun. The staples exit the stapler where you apply pressure to the stapler instead of each end of the stapler. The old staplers you squeeze the lever on one end and the staple exits on the other. This one all the pressure and exit point are in the same place.

I don’t know if it is even available any longer but I would recommend this style for all of you building stapling needs. It works a treat!

Okay, that’s all for now. Gonna get some dinner and try to get the rest of the Panda Film up, including the Zipper Door. tup

I hope you’re ALL making it a great night! tup

Final Note: I’m not going to ingest any Cannabis after tonight frown until after a scheduled second Pain Clinic appointment Tuesday, February 15. I don’t know IF they’re going to throw another Drug Test on me. I don’t fully expect it but they may do just that.

Since I couldn’t go out on the lawn to trim down the Panda Film to height, I wrestled its full 10 foot width into place by myself.

It’s not pretty, and I’ll likely redo it at some point (Probably), but I don’t think the plants will mind or notice even! winky

I first had to resize the door opening so I’d know how much black/white I’d need on that side. You can see the blocking I added in the second image. I still have to build a jamb. I had to decide which side I wanted to block out, to determine where I wanted that extra 1-1/2 inch. Still deciding how I’m going to build the jamb. I ‘may’ mill some Red Oak for it, maybe…

With that done, I cut it to length on the Festool-ish Multi-Function Table…

And laid that length out in the approximate location…

Even though applying the black/white to the wall was tough enough, using this ShurTape Supervisor Tape probably took more time…what a right pain! nutkick Removing the backing on the tape was the most difficult aspect of the whole task. I had to go find a YouTube video for advice! ROFLMAO That was RIDICULOUS!!! nutkick nutkick nutkick

Then applied the majority of it on the South wall, came back and stapled it in place (sort of winky)…

Then made the turn into the corners. I’ll come back and trim the top off later. And, again, it’s not pretty…but, it’s up!

Now, the Zipper Door and then start laying the buckets in…I’m still thinking I’m going to put both the Veg and Flower buckets in there (subject to change! winky). Then, figure out the Lights, Reservoirs and Ventilation…

Make it a great day, folks! tup
