It’s a insulated stein with a lid a cap opener.
That’s cool we brew our own hard cider. A ton of it. It’s good stuff, tastes exactly like angry orchard crisp cider
jim beam apple. I didn’t even know about this kind of jim beam. I remember contacting Butcher and Singer customer service to reserve a table for my friend and I. There I tried it for the first time and I really liked it. It is now my favorite alcohol drink
switch your sugar for honey and you’ve got mead.
try it sometime… the complex honey flavors with the apple flavors (throw in a stick or two of cinnamon and a few cloves in primary fermentation for even more flavors) are a great experience.
mead also has higher alcohol content. (mine typically run 18-20%). if it has good flavor, you can’t even tell you’re getting drunk… lol.
By the time I’m done we have to back sweeten it to get sugar back in. It’s almost like crisp apple ale. So if I add honey instead it’ll be mead? This stuff is like 13 to 15 %. It gets you good and you can barely tell it’s hard not too drink too much.
If you start your fermentation with honey instead of sugar you’ll have mead.
Most of my mead recipes start with 3lbs of honey, 2lbs fruit of choice and the rest filled with spring water.
I do 1gal batches.
I found a deal I could pass up on beer making we stuff… I haven’t done this in 20 years (and I despise that I can actually say that, lol), but why not? Lol
So, I’m on the lookout for any beer kits, who has brewed what? And did it work? I’m a Corona guy
On the flip side, I could try making wine for the first time… Anyone have any good (or bad) experiences with wine kits??
Don’t buy kits get a carboy. And a bunch of apple juice some champagne yeast and boom hard cider. I don’t but any beer any more. Also if you don’t want it crisp use some apple juice concentrate like 3 to 4 per 5 gallons to back sweeten. @luxton
Right on I’m going to have some rye in a bit still 80 out and ima grill some steak when it cools.
Sweet, I like that idea!! Now to narrow down the measurements
5 gallons of juice 1 packet of champagne yeast. 1 carboy. =five gallons of dry cider add 4 apple juice concentrate rolls to backsweeten and you have angry orchards crisp apple
