I’m not on your level as far as music knowledge. I just enjoy listening to Johnny. Please don’t take my comment the wrong way, just never heard of him compared to the Beatles. I love Stranger Blues. 
Edit: I did get to see Johnny in concert, but not until like 94’. He was so amazing!

For me it wasn’t a “level” thing; it’s all copascetic. There are so few folks who even know who he is, like if mentioned in casual conversation with other great rock players being cited. I feel he was one of the greatest cover artists because he understood what to emphasize in the covers while still making it his own. His Stones’ influence is obvious cause Jumping jack Flash and Silver Train covers, while Stranger evokes- to me- Something by the Beatles in some of his note choices and the fact it is a ballad. Just happy see the post! Keep on rocking in the free world!
