I just had a flashback to seeing Mike Clark’s Prescription Renewal, which is the Headhunters band without Herbie Hancock. Mike Clark is the drummer, the show I saw featured Fred Wesley - James Brown’s longtime musical director - on trombone). The bass player, Paul “Action” Jackson, broke THREE BASS STRINGS throughout the show! He ripped it so hard…
