A **painting in motion"*, this film’s production value always blows my mind. I’m a sucker for Daniel Day Lewis so I saw this in theatres and got hooked right then and there. Not being , the nationalism is less of a hook for me rather than the roots of oppression and fighting for what is right.
On days when someone has the hubris to get into my face, I still think to myself “What would William Cutting Do?”… where the answer is usually violence and I sadly live in a city where I then have to think of a better answer.
If you like squid game this is along those lines. theres quite a few out there but that one seemed to blow up and be much more widely watched. Its loosely based off a manga comic. The anime that i previously watched which is also based off the manga is gyakkyou burai kaiji.
I thought you guys might appreciate the evolution of the story and how theres quite a few that are now being made into live action many of which (in my opinion) are done way way better
I’ve seen it before but a new stereo setup made me want to watch a bluray so I picked Fury. Forgot what a brutal depiction it was and solid film overall.
“The White Lotus is an American black comedy-drama anthology television series created by Mike White for HBO. It follows the guests and employees of the fictional White Lotus resort chain, whose stay is affected by their various psychosocial dysfunctions.”
I don’t watch a lot of stuff, but today, I did watch the WC final (great game), and I’ll stream the new episode of Tulsa King later on. I also started re-watching Twin Peaks again; hadn’t seen the original 2 seasons in a long minute. Waiting for new seasons of several shows, Jack Ryan, Foundation, Seal Team, more, and finally get to see TG Maverick for free the 21st (too cheap to pay for it LOL).
PS I thought Andor was the best show I’ve seen all year. Hope they don’t fuck up the 2nd season!
