To be clear they aren’t youtubers they are people who work alongside and are friends with names like kyle kushman jorge cervantes etc. The videos were just posted on youtube though. And given how unstable og genetics are, it was completely believable that it was done through open pollination. I can’t say it’s true but it really made sense of everything that didn’t and it intrigued me to say the least

The first weed forum I ever joined was the original overgrow. I had the same (or similar) screen name back then. The original OG was pretty much where I learned to grow from. I would spend hours and hours and hours reading through all the threads there. It was kind of an obsession. lol and it’s become a life long passion of mine.
I have belonged to a few other grow forums over the years but OG was always by far my favorite.
I joined this version of Og last year after finding out it was back. Super glad I did. I love this place!
It’s a bit different than the original OG. Maybe not quite as much raw info as the original, but a much better overall vibe IMO. Very little drama here, which I love.

I preferred the clone only ogs from the 90s and early 2000s. All the ogs now don’t even smell like og and it’s all purple n stuff lol. Def just a name now not even the same kind of high smell or taste. If I sold you blue dream you’d expect atleast a variation of such. It has its own smell. I don’t own a lab but I’m also very discerning. I can pretty much guarantee most og crosses after 2020 are fakes and marketing gimmicks. I miss the weed that took you away to a spiritual land. Today’s weed just makes me laugh at people in an obnoxious way. It kina turns people into a holes lol.

Matt Berger grew the first OG in the early 90’s, flying the cuts from FL to CA in his pants. Overgrow 1.0 came out in 1999 and OG came out way before Bubba even got it, he had to get it from somewhere lol he just popularized it

Oh man, that’s a true blast from the past for me!
Brings back fond memories of the ads for those in high times back in the 90’s. I always wanted one! I had nowhere to grow back then and always wanted to order one and stick it in my closet (when I lived with my parents).
I actually kind of built my own version of one out of wood. It was even octagon shaped. I still have it in my basement! lol I’ll get pics of it later.
I think I kind of remember you from the original OG. I remember someone buying a phototron and OG members giving that person crap. Wonder if that was you?
Yes, it was me…when I first grew with it I failed, I think because I followed the directions that came with it and used the nutes/medium that came with it…
After awhile hanging out on Overgrow I learned about DWC/SWC, so the second time I grew in a Phototron I dove right into it with great success and haven’t looked back.
I still use my Phototrons but usually in the winter months only…I of course do the SWC/TRON method of growing with it. It does work people and if you have one give it a try and I will help you guys…
Nowadays I grow most of my weed outdoors and grow my own strains which I have created throughout the years…Most of my strains lineage are from clone only strains…I was a clone only strain whore back in the old Overgrow days when we all traded clones like crazy left and right.

I was on a few smaller forums, all defunct I believe nowadays. Cervantes forum being most recent.
ICmag and the autoflowernetwork until I got my space better equipped for photoperiods. I believe it was at ICmag where I hear about Overgrow. Lurked awhile till I favored here over AFN.

I got put onto OG by Defnsmokn.
Stayed because of the zero EGO and honesty that most of the people here seem to have. It was kinda like fresh air coming here. Never got blasted for asking questions. Wasn’t afraid to be real and show mistakes. Met some excellent people and aquired genetics I more than likely would have never had a chance at. OG is definitely home base.
