Yeah I add a 1/4 teaspoon of pink rock salt to every litre of water I drink.

Just seen a study done on low carb diets and salt. From the data seen you need to have twice the normal daily requirement of salts at least, or you increase insulin resistance, even with very low carbs. The blood pressure increase from salts is not much and flattens out after 20 minutes from consumption and returns to what it was prior.

I will dig it out of the recipe box! Itā€™s super simple by todayā€™s fancy standards in baking. But simply the best and brings me right back to the very first bite many years ago!

Iā€™ll be back with the recipeā€¦

Thanks for the invite but Iā€™d turn it into an episode of the ā€œTwilight Zoneā€.

My grannyā€™s sugar cookies were a light sheet cake covered in sprinkles that just melts in your mouth.

Dangit yā€™all!! You just donā€™t know what youā€™re doing to an old fat man whoā€™s wife decided we gotta ā€œeat betterā€.
$%^&(*&^%$#@ I told her that I thought I was pretty good at eating already!
She wasnā€™t amused.

You spaceman, may ā€œassumeā€ we are Earthlings! Lol

This recipe here is the closest one I have ever found online. My recipe box is MIA at the moment. This will not disappoint ā€¦ I want to make one now. I like to double the recipe and use a 13x9 disposable aluminum tray and two Pillsbury pie crust just laid in the tray, overlapped and whatever it takes to make fit. I donā€™t bake the crust first like the link suggests. We have always used nutmeg as well. Try it out and be sure to let me know hiw you like it! MawMaw is no longer with us,but Iā€™m sure she would be proud if a bunch of you revive this old fashioned recipe!!!

Enjoy!!!

Editā€¦ we use heavy cream not whole milk!

That sounds awesome. I like all the ingredients so together they sound great. Iā€™ve had peppered chocolate and like it but it wasnā€™t spicy hot. I like hot.

Add a bit of fresh nutmeg, no cinnamon, switch the milk for buttermilk and the cornstarch for 2 tbs flour and you have my buttermilk pie!!!

Make that a Chocolate CREAM Hot Chili Pepper Pie, and Iā€™m ALL over that! Hot chili peppers and chocolate just work together! But I like my Chocolate Cream Pie too

Yeah, put a spoonful of tart jam on top and itā€™s better than cheese cake.
