Sounds like what we call Candy Apples here. They’re a little different. They’ll take your teeth out. Haha
you mean caramel like the candies
Yeah, you can just melt those or make your own caramel for caramel apples. For candy apples, it’s a different concoction for the glaze.
Ok this week I’ll bring a bag of caramels to try, thanks for the info Pat

Dad’s Stuffed Mushrooms:
I use 9 Portabella mushrooms. Think enough to cover the bottom of your baking pan cap down, whether you use the big ones or the smaller ones. Remove the stems and put them cap down in the pan.
In a bowl mix one pint of Sour Cream, one red and one orange bell pepper, diced or sliced however you like it. 6 chopped green onions, minced garlic to taste, I use about a heaping teaspoon. 1 two cup bag of sharp cheddar cheese, black pepper and Johnny’s Seasoned salt or Monterey Steak seasoning. One can of baby shrimp.
Mix that all up and spoon it into the mushroom caps. I put the stems in there between the caps or wherever. Layer Swiss cheese over the top of that, covering the entire top.
Bake at 375 for 40 min for the big ones. I pile mine high. Bake until the Swiss melts down over the mushrooms and turns a good golden brown. That makes a cap which holds the whole thing together. OMG these things are to die for! If you ever manage to make any leftovers from these, they are even better reheated! Delectable goodness. Perfect after some good munchie weed!
EDIT: You may have leftover stuffing, delicious on crackers or whatever.
Went to visit my mom and made some chicken kabobs for dinner last night, turned out pretty good, steak tonight to copy @DougDawson
