Right on! I have known a few growers that are also Ham radio operators… Alot of us spend a good amount of time at home… Sooo, we need them toys to entertain us! Iam usually on the hf bands, and run 2 meters when Im on a “search and rescue” mission… 73

Brilliant! Just tried it for the first time…then put my grinders away, love how it works and I can control the final product consistency.

For the most part it’s all hand-ground over here.
When time allows, there’s just something about the way the joint burns and the air flows when the buds are dismantled while leaving the calyxes whole.

I cut my teeth preparing flowers which were loaded with seeds, so I simply used scissors and my fingers.
I like to cut up the buds into pea size pieces for pipes, and use my fingers to grind a little if I am rolling a doober.
So I have never owned, nor used a grinder.
I use an electric coffee grinder for preparing buds for making cookies etc.
I am actually a little surprised to see how many of you potheads use grinders.

This scissors concept is all new to me grinders are my norm but then I do have people in my family who still hand pick the buds because they come from the time when every bit of weed was seeded so you had to go through it.
Maybe I’m the lazy one I’ve just always used a grinder apart from when I didn’t/don’t occasionally have one to hand but clearly scissors work @StillSmoking surprised me with his results. Just as fine a job a grinder does.
Just been going through the thread as well and realised @Meesh has a very clean grinder 
it a new one or do you still pick at it?

Nowadays I like using the grinder to process more material say like a 1/2 oz or more when it comes to decarbing for topicals , tinctures and similar stuff otherwise I just break it up with the fingers when packing a bubbler or making a J.
