What grinders are we all using, if any

If i have to explain why then you don’t understand.

Orange Chromium Crusher (2 or 3 months old)
Wooden grinder (16 or 17 years old)
Syndicate Dual Grinder Cards (1 or 2 months old)

The wooden grinder is the first grinder I ever saw it might even be closer to 20 years old it was so long ago I gave like 35 bucks for it when it’s a 10 dollar grinder today lol I just finally got tired of cleaning it so got a new one…the cards I won on eBay I got 20 something sets of them for like 8 bucks they suck horribly IMHOI still prefer finger nail scissors with the curved blade I unfortunately broke mine a couple weeks back and I’m not satisfied with Walmarts selection so I’m gonna have to go to a craft or sewing store no shot glass I just roll the buds between my fingers while chopping been doing it for 20+ years that way never got my self with the scissors but have put a stem in my thumb once

Time to jump-start this thread again…

My collection…

The Zero was a B. day present from my youngest several years ago. OK grinder with decent kief catcher
The Cheech has interrupted threads, 1/3rd of a turn and it’s locked. Tolerances are a little sloppy though.
The Kannastor - best kit ever.
It came down to Kannastor, Phoenician and Santa Cruz. Luckily they (Toronto Hemp Co.) were out of the Phoenician I was interested in and when I compared the two - Kannastor won.

L to R
bottom collector, body, lower plate holder w course plate, top plate, top cap holding the ‘secret stash’
(I do not have the kief screen installed.)

or…Alternatively…

a Mk II Curta for scale :+1: :sunglasses:

My only concern was it might be too small
…I grind once a week.

I think I left the 20th century back with my ole metal one and entered in the 21st buying an electrical one. My wrists will be grateful for this, as it had fossilie blotches of resin impossible to remove and was hard to use it .

Tonight I will see if it really works, counting the minutes … non_banana2|nullxnull

Are they resistant to high proof alcohol?
That gets mine super clean (but my resin buildups are definitely not as old as those)

That new peice you got there is a powerful mfa . Definitely saves time.
For the most part, personally I still use the ole finger friskars combo. I think I must have about 20 pairs of fiskars or knock offs.
But in a smoke sesh I’ll pull out either my 25 year old coffee grinder or that fancy electric fan setup.
And to clarify, I roll joints 1 1/4 RAW hemp papers or elements.

I tried with sanitary alcohol but no way , couldn’t do a complete twist anymore. Was looking for yours but were just 5 cm diameter and pricey, for that price I had this option

Tectonic9 Auto Dispensing Grinder

Captura

but thought it would be also a PITA to clean, so willing to find out how the much cheaper electrical one works … :sunglasses:

I ended completely stoned fumaoo|nullxnull , I don’t know if it was because it was chopped in really small particles and could fill the chamber with more weed but it combusted great, big vapour clouds and a better-stay-at-home high …

I use a Santa Cruz shredder

Somewhat happy with my Santa Cruz Shredder, it is at least a temporary replacement for my decade plus old Cosmic which I can’t find any more. Hell of a grinder but the threads are showing their age.

The SCS came with small chips in the anodizing inside, looks better after washing but not what you want from a $70 grinder. The grind itself is nice and fluffy, could be a bit coarser for my taste. But the cosmic spoiled me. Big holes is a key criteria for me in my search, and they are hard to come by.

Another gripe on the SCS is the kif screen is so coarse that coffee grounds could almost go through. Gonna be some dirty kif.

The quest continues… Might look at brilliant cut next

I was wanting a space case or Santa Cruz shredder. But our smoke shop recommended the piranha and they are great so far. And good price.

@Molto_Mota I can tell from the picture that Kief screen looks wonky lol. It does look like coffee grounds would pass lol

Yeah as far a screen goes the best one I have used is the space case other than that it seems there are two types one is not so bad and really bad

I looked on that site, all out of stock unfortunately. I appreciate the help though! The screen on my cosmic is perfect, good production but nice and clean. Seems the whole company has gone belly up.

I have heard that the screen was on the large side.
How is the ‘hand torque’ when it gets dirty?

Perhaps some store might have old stock.
Biggest local selection in the GTA that I know are these folks:

It’s on the lighter side I’d say, probably due to the tooth design which I like.

Nothing on that site that I could find, but again I appreciate it!

Oh yeah, imo that’s the absolute best at grinding up some nugz ! Really fluffed up, ready for zigzags, or bowl stuffing foliage. I hadn’t used mine in about 2 years, and after you showed that pic I pulled mine back out. It bogged down tho. my cup grow from the covid challenge was tooo sticky icky for the weak battery

I bought a grinder once on vacation in OBX, maybe in 2004. I used it maybe a year, and went back to scissors, over my rolling tray.
If I had NOT looked at the weed after grinding it, with my loupe, I may still be using it. Ground seems to be less tasty to us, less of that sudden impact weed delivers.
this is my biggest reason to hate and shun any skuffed buds folks stop by with, as they peeled off some of the most delicious aspect of cured buds, IMHO.
To each their own way!

you know, I just looked that :t_rex: up on Amazon because I thought it was a badass grinder that shredded a week’s worth of bud with some magical adjuster switches or indicators. :man_facepalming: wtf.

no abacus meme from me today.
