Is there a video tutorial for dry ice shaking? Running bags with water is a pain in the ass but at least you can wash the chlorophyll out.
Maybe do the dry ice but if the stuff comes out green I can put it in the water setup and wash the green out like that.

You can probably find one, but honestly itā€™s super easy.

  • get a brick of dry ice from the grocery store
  • break it up into chunks with a hammer
  • pour your trim or bud and some dry ice into a ~120um bubble bag
  • let it sit for a few minutes with a blanket or something to insulate it
  • shake gently into a 5 gallon bucket or onto parchment paper

After a few seconds it all just starts dumping out. Shake it for a bit, scrape it into a pile. Shake a bit more, scrape into another pile and so on. Eventually it stops coming out, or starts getting obviously green.

Last look at the piles you made. The earliest ones will be the cleanest. You can just compare the color of the piles, and that provides your hash ā€œgradesā€. Or look closer with a USB microscope if you really want to get scientific about it.

Last thing I like to do is dry it out really well. Itā€™s already pretty dry, but the dry ice does condense a little water, so you still get it better. I like to put it in a sealed plastic box for a few days with one of these:

no edit no filter 5 minutes sift in grinder not even silk screen. Real thing is finer and nice but this bad boy got me medicated right I feel ok now peace

I vote for bubble. Itā€™s true that itā€™s labour intensive and that drying is an extra week long step. But, I picked up a cheap 8 bag set and havenā€™t looked back. Vivosun, $40 amazon. Iā€™ve used them several runs and they work great.

Maybe vegetable glycerin or propylene glycol? Thatā€™s what ecig juice is made from.

I wasted 30 bucks on a recovery kit for the last bits that never leave the tanks ā€¦was a giant waste of money it was two syringes and ā€œspecial recovery liquidā€. Was just pg if you have ecig juice add a tiny bit at a time heating it with the battery will make it melt in quickerā€¦ it will eventually seperate after a day or three

The iso would be evaporated, it would only be a bit of water left wouldnā€™t it?.. Iā€™ve never seen iso oil this thick, everything Iā€™ve bought has been more liquidy

Iā€™ve got a shot glass with oil/e juice heated and mixed, it kind of works. But not well enough, may aswell just do hot knives and drops on a cigarette and throw the hipster stick in the trash.

Iā€™ve had bad luck with them from dispensaries the black market ones not so muchā€¦ I make my own now but honestly rarely fuck with it anymore

Bubble hash is the cheapest and easiest IMO. You can process pounds of material in a couple hours with no moving parts. No gases, no electricity, only thing you need is a piece of cardboard, a stir rod of some kind, some cheap bags, ice, and a bucket.

Hey buddy, there are pens that work with wax directly that might work better.

It has been a while, but a few years ago I used g pens and generic G pen knock offs.

Something like this:

You can scoop wax directly into the ceramic bowl instead of having to dilute it with anything.

Iā€™m not recommending that one specifically (though itā€™s probably fine), but something like that will work with wax directly.

Yep, you will lose the terpenes but it will become runny.

I got tired of fucking with making my concentrates liquid so I got a tank I can put the concentrates in directly.

Yeah that should do it. It will start to bubble like a soda (those are CO2 bubbles). When it stops bubbling it should be done.
