I’ve had a handful of strange things happen to me over the years, but the one that continues to blow my mind the most is this:
Float trips are a popular summer activity in Missouri. They’re canoeing, or rafting trips, generally combined with copious amounts of alcohol. While on a 7-mile float trip with a group of friends, I lost my ID. It was in my swimming trunks pocket when I started. And it was gone when I finished.
Three full weekends later, I went on another float trip with my long distance girlfriend (now wife), her family, and a group of her friends. At the end of the float trip, I’m having a beer and enjoying my time on the beach and a stranger walks up to me and says, “I think I have your ID”, and hands it to me. When I thank him and ask where he found it, he tells me that it just floated across his foot in the river.
I don’t know how many thousands, or millions of gallons of water had passed in those three weeks. I can’t fathom the astronomical odds and the timing. It really does boggle my mind.
edit: I suppose it adds to the story that the stranger was actually a friend of my (now) mother-in-law, and she was the first person he asked if they recognized the ID. She said yes and pointed him my direction.
with the research i did ,
it said u are lucky to see it once ,
but you wont see it twice ,
so maybe you and i are some of the only ones that have seen it more than once …
Before I crap on 99
9 percent of youtube, let me say
I saw a ghost
I have had a few creepy things happen,
But what exactly was it I can’t say
Was half asleep when I heard this demonic
Thing say my name, freaked me out.
However most of the stuff on the tube is pure shit.
things i can’t explain happen to me constantly now. sometimes before but since the icu trip all the freaking time. the voice that yelled “get the fuck up now!” and got me get up and downstairs - saving my life - was the second most trippy thing that happened.
