not too long ago a dude on IG posted a story of a bat laying inside a pot of an indoor grow (highly unusual obviously)

id be worried about some rodent, spider, or bat? unless this is a joke :joy:

how big is it in mm? heres a quick guide for pests droppings.

@the_bot, Its not a joke… i dont think a rodent did this without damaging the leaf stem. It had to be an insect, but the question is what kind of insect…i thought it might’ve been catapillers but the leaves havent been chewed on so im pretty much stumped to what took a shit on my plant.

…and its about a mm shy of two tic tacs stuck together size-wise.

My first thought was lizard or toad; sneaky snake? I’ve had huge caterpillars on my tomatoes that aren’t anywhere near that size. Plus caterpillars’ shit looks like little hand grenades.

or soil/compost from another pot when you were moving them …

rat trap. don’t mess around, imo.

That would be my guess also………

From the looks of the chart you shared it looks like it could be wasp or bumblebee poop…but with that size it was probably one of those murderous japanese hornets .

Looks like frog poop dropped onto a leaf. I have toads in the basement that have left some large animal size turds on the floor.

Looks similar to the tree frog ones here.

Sure looks like bat poo. We have a bat named Dilbert that leaves little treats for me to clean up every morning. I consider myself an expert in batshit identification LOL. The fact that as you stated the leaf stem/ leaf was not damaged in any way makes me think the turd came from the sky… size matches little brown bat turds.

awe! I love Dilbert!

I have a bat house whose residents leave black droppings in the shape of mouse turds.
