Interested to see what temps and conditions everyone grows in and what are the differences or experienced growers have had. First grow of mine will be 76 degrees indoors, outdoors 100+ temps with humidity between 65-85%. Feels like a sweaty armpit.
Btw if a thread for this already exists feel free to merge it I tried looking but came across nothing.
Ick. I feel for you, bro
Iâm not growing outside this year. Ambient temps outside the tent usually range from 74F to 85F inside during the summer. Winter tends to have a range of 52F to 70F.
Summer and early Fall = LED
Late Fall, Winter, and Spring = HID
This is probably sacrilege but I donât really monitor rH. I try to keep it between 40 and 50% during flowering. I just track ”mol/ with a PAR meter so I donât light burn my plants with LED. Growing with HID is easy.
Dehumidifiers raise ambient air temps which is beneficial for LED in the summer.
I grow all year around from -5â°C to +43â°C and I also just monitor things. I donât really do anything except heating at night if it gets too cold. Iâm certainly not chasing perfect conditions as I donât want to pay for more electricity than I already do.
I find that things only slow down in the cold and I increase the ferts as they donât drink much.
In the heat they grow rapidly but you gotta harvest before all the terpens are burning off.
@StupidHead
If I put the dehumidifier on itâll idle the temperature in at 24â°âŠoften thatâs a drop to what I haveâŠweird that yours raises it ![]()
Today here in the FL panhandle it peaked around 95 midday, and this morning started at 91% RH but only dropped to 58% when the heat peaked and of course itâs gonna go right back up after sundown
lol but the end of my street has a bayou maybe only about 6 houses down⊠so what do I expect?
Talk about stress testing ![]()
Get ready for a rainy week coming our way.
This week we finally caught a break but itâs been up to 107 in my grow tent in my baking hot garage. The bigger plants do just fine, other than a little leaf curl, but the clones are looking rough. Wish there was more I could do about it, but power is pretty maxed out in the garage so putting an AC in is not gonna happen. That same circuit runs the back of my kitchen and back room, which has all sorts of stuff plugged in. I plugged in my table saw and popped the circuit breaker, so not adding anything out there. I did rearrange some things so it was not so stressed, but it is what it is. Lucky I have a place to grow at all in this tiny little space we live in. We went from 2,000 sq ft to 1,000 in our home size.
In the winter I heat the tent with a small 250 watt heater and it keeps temps to about 45 in there when the outside temps get to zeroish. Summers are when this grow suffers. Hydro is out of the question.
