I use DE several times during the grow and water in neem meal or if you can find it neem leaf powder. It is really important not to water until you see the BOTTOM leaves droop. This insures the DE dries out so it can work.

I went a week and 1 day without watering and it still didnt work

sprinkle neem seed meal on top of the soil, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypoaspis_miles

It takes a week or two to get them out of your room totally. A compost bag, hole letting outside gnats in, open soil bag, anything like that can help keep them around forever until you figure it out. Neem stops the eggs from hatching and sterilizes the adults.

I don’t get them in my indoors winter grows, but do in summer. Haven’t used it yet, but bought some “Mosquito Dunks” just in case. I’ve read that the dunks should be ground up, then mixed in water and poured in the soil. Time will tell. Good luck.

I just ordered the pellet version of these – active ingredient in both is (I believe) Bacillus thuringiensis sub. Israelensis. Not entirely sure what this little bacterial friend does to the larvae, but I believe it has something to do with blocking up their insides to the point that they can no longer feed.

I’ve been fighting fungus gnats in my houseplants since last June or so. Though that I finally got rid of them over the winter, but I think it was just the cool weather keeping them hidden. They don’t seem to have found their way into my girls yet, but will be treating all of my plants with this soon. Will give an exciting update once I can confirm/deny efficacy.

From what i can tell you need more than one bullet to put them down. If you use one thing they tend to find a way around or adapt to what you use. They sure are sneaky for being so small. @limota

I heard a while back Neem smoked might be carcinogenic, and last Sunday i believe on HashChurch they said the same thing. I haven’t verified it but thought it might need to be mentioned. I am not foliar feeding with Neem oil until i now for sure. I am hoping it is just a rumor. I am still top dressing with it on occasion.

You smoke fan leaves?XD

No, i don’t smoke fan leaves. You have cystolithic hairs that have terpenes that are present even in veg. This can hold oils in it’s waxy covering. This is stuff i am still investigating so take it with a grain of salt. It worries me however.

If you dont smoke fan leaves you wont be burning any neem oil:) i use neem, hemp, and jojoba oils for IPM switch them up every week and i use different essential oil blends in them also.

I hope this a good!.. im giving the soil and tent walls a good spraying avoiding the buds. It seems to kill these little putos pretty much on contact! Im currently watering tonight . I need to find a tray 2x2 so I can fit these 4 square 5 gal smart pots in. Its not so bad , I only have to water every week and a day! I know these pots are a little big for these 3 foot beasts gg4 plants! Live and learn! Taking forever to upload this pic fml ! Lol!

Last summer, and getting ready to put them back in, i used venus fly traps along the back wall, and fly paper.
