Could you please expandon that?
Was just a joke. Thats how you cure meats.
Never heard of them, I don’t think, but I just checked it out. Eleven bucks for a pack of twelve eight gram 62% is a pretty good deal. That’s cheaper than the Bovedas. I may have to buy a few packs. That’s my only complaint about the Bovedas, is that they seem to make everything smell musty after a while. The flavor’s still there, but the way it smells… No good. If I leave a jar open for a few minutes, the mustiness goes away, but still…
ah, no problem. what no pink salt?
Let me know how you feel about them when you try them. I’m curious. GL.
I whole plant hang on hangers in a grow tent cut off just the big leafs and let dry for 14-21 days depending on time of yr. I aim for 60 -60 temps and rh slowly dropping rh to around 55 rh untill the big stems snap then trim straight in to big mouth mason 1 gal jars put them in duffle bags and tuck in a cool dark closet . with no burping once it goes in the jar it cures 2 weeks upto a year in most cases 3 months max but i have 1 yr cured mac that blows anything ive seen out the water…
How about cat litter? You know the silica type?
Old school brown bags for 5 days then into jars
Burp the jars 3 times a day for the first week then once a day after
Works fine for me,use to hang the whole plant but I find it don’t stink as much when you put it in a bag
I’ve dried for 3 days in a dry area and cured in plastic bags before I think, came out fine but I bare remember
Care to elaborate? What does he do?
May require some research thru his feed, but worth it, interesting guy.
- Full Plant, 60F/60RH, till stems snap.
- Buck up whole plant and store in black and yellow bins for two weeks, 60F/60RH.
- Then pt in jars.
Slow hang dry at 60/60 for two weeks, I’ve noticed my shits way stinkier in organic than it was hydro with salts but I haven’t run the same strains so that’s not a great data point but it’s something to think about. I can have a couple gs in my pocket out socializing and everybody smell it; no long cure just the long dry. Store in Mylar bags with boveda 58
That’s my approach too. I feel if you can get at least a 2 week long, controlled dry at 60rh, then the cure isn’t nearly as important.
