.

I do taxes. That’s it, I’m not an accountant but I have a customer base of just over 1,600 faithful clients.

If you’re from Canada and you have any questions I’ll see if I can help.

That seat looks awful familiar! Lol.
I run heaving equipment for a living. Mostly front end loader custom finish work. Some days I really miss the pit. But not many.

How cool to see what everyone does. I’ve been disabled from a head on car accident in 1995 and by 2003 was unable to keep working after 2 back surgeries already having my 1st in 1982.
But before that, I was in management of a few businesses. 5yrs as a Resort Manager, 10yrs Automotive Service Manager and 5yrs with SeaRay of Las Vegas as Parts Manager and Asst Service Mgr.
Before that, I made and installed custom cabinets, bars on cruise ships and redoing their dance floors while in port here in Fla. R&D for Mercury Power Boats… worn a lot of hats… and some think not having to work is cool, sux. you lose your data base of friends fast… pay cut by 75%… so fun.

I’m a foreman at a high end lawn maintenance company. We’re the biggest residential lawn company in the state of Florida and only service the ponte vedra/Jax beach area (homes anywhere from $800k-$10M).

that reminds me of when i was at a job one time and a guy used to tie the trigger on a nail gun back so he “could work faster”. he was walking a wall one day on a balloon wall setting the other end of the trusses. as he was walking to get another one the nailgun hit his kneecap, shooting himself in the knee, and making him lose his balance and he fell 12ft to the plywood floor, missing the basement hole by about a foot. never saw him on the job again.

Gotta agree with you and @Floyd, retirement is the best job.

When I worked I did all kinds of shit. In no particular order, I rafted logs (most romantic job I ever had!), logged in the woods (not at all romantic), was a workers’ compensation claims examiner for the US Dept of Labor’s Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs, picked fruits and vegetables, was a residential re-modeler doing carpentry (rough & finish), plumbing, drywall, cabinet installation and more for about 15 years off and on, made candles, did residential/apartment maintenance (my last real job), cooked and washed dishes, was an anthropologist doing EIRs for the Corps of Engineers, milked cows and did general dairy work, etc. Never had any kind of career. There was just too much interesting stuff out there to tie myself down to one thing. One thing I never had was an ambition other than to get high and experience more of what’s out there in the world.

While retirement is the best job IMO, I’d hate to be retired and broke. That wouldn’t be retirement. That would be working until death. Fuck that.

By day I sit around posting on OG, and by night pretty much the exact same thing.

Just waiting for the paycheques to start rolling in.
