What's your day Job?

I read somewhere that when you send out wedding invitations you should send them to all the rich famous too busy don’t even know who you are type because they have assistants who will just send a gift basket in their absence.

I can’t absorb those kinds of numbers but would suggest something modelled on the above strategy.

Artist, comic book illustrator.
And I also occasionally deliver luxury cars to customers for one of my friends businesses.
Can’t argue with getting paid to drive Porsches, Jaguars, Mercedes etc haha.
Got to cruise around in this the other day :sunglasses:

When I was a kid, I worked one summer at The Millionaires Club in Beverly Hills. Didn’t get to really drive guests cars around, but I certainly got to drive many very high-end cars to and from the club’s portico to/from their parking places.

No one special, I’m an office manager for a hearing aid clinic (can ya hear me now) and consequently get yelled at a lot lol

My biggest joy for the day is when a poor misguided guy walks in, mistaking us for urology next door, and punctuates what he is there for, by grabbing his junk at me, just in case I’m extraordinarily dense.

Between that and my DWC, that’s it. I’m just an old rocker chick trying to keep my hair from standing on end. Totally boring lol

I’m a little reticent to post because I live in a state where teachers are regarded as either ‘saints and heroes’ or “union thugs who get three months off”
I began as a teachers aid then worked as a art teacher went to work for dad at the remodel company he created. I was in contract estimating and sales for 20 years.
When dad retired and my older brother walked into dad’s spot I walked away. I began looking for a teaching job.
I found special education was in great need and got a certificate to teach in another state.
I’m a high school special needs teacher with some of the most supported students. My kids have various issues such as Downs syndrome, Autism, seizure disorder, cerebral.palsy, PTSD, bipolar, schizophrenia, dyslexia and dysgrpahia and emotional disorders

My friends did this and got so much wild stuff. The amount of signed sports memorabilia was off the charts. They sold most of what they got and made well over $100k

This is very admirable of you. It takes a brave person to be a teacher(my mother was K-6 for 37 years), but an amazing soul to teach with special needs children. You’ll be the one getting special attention when the time comes! :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

I spent most of my life running fancy restaurant kitchens, but I got tired of working 70 hours a week so now I just work in one as a regular cook.

My HS had a really great program where special ed combo’d with food ed, made cookies and then sold them via cart on all lunch periods. Great people.

Kudos to you for being a positive person and sorry you’ve gotta put up with the political nonsense. Best part about western civilization is that good people do good work regardless of whats goin on :pray:

Public opinion of teachers is wild. One second it’s “Your a hero” Then it’s “oh, I bet you play basketball with the kids all day”

I have a suspicion if we worked in the same building would be teacher besties.
