Ya i just build a good soil and keep it charged with teas every two weeks, been running this soil for years and putting out some top notch! Microbes and microbe diversity is def where it’s at! Got a few tricks up my sleeves and this was before and after pics of 9 days apart from one of my feedings last year
Yeah blasting microbes is the way! Thats solid growth for sure. The mix you use is literally exactly what I used to use in my raised beds. coco/perlite/dr earth. Def not gonna hate on it! But in my anecdotal experience, that mix really only did great for me in 15+ gal pots. ideally 100+. But again, thats my anecdote. Could very well be agrued I coulda got better compost or whatever. But nowadays i just rock out 2/3rds coco or peat, usually coco. and 1/3 perlite/hydoton. Just to eliminate possible issues sourcing good compost. Cuz where im at, i can get good shroom post, but its really expensive out here. But I have been reusing this same base soil a good 5 years+. Just drop in some Pride Lands and water in some microbes and let it rock
It would be if u weren’t missing 50% compost, compost is the food, coco for water retention and perlite/lava rock for drainage/aeration and Dr earth to make it all happy
I’m running 20,25 and 30 gallon this year in my grow
Mushroom compost is cheap at home Depot out here, $2.47 for 1 cu ft bag
I keep adding to it but overall I reuse the hell of of my soil too, very rare there is down time for it sitting in crates
What great soil recipe’s — when I don’t want to spend much time with “making” soil Ise: Fox Farms + Happy Frog (easy) with more time I use: Kelp meal, alafal , enzymens, humic acid for an “organic” tricontional (natural plant stimulator) if I get lazy Massive Bloom takes it place. Going to make some “Living Soil” for a true organic crop
@hawkman I used to to use ocean forest and Happy frog. Then I got some Gaia green and promix and made my own.
Did a side by side with the same clone in same size pot. 1 ocean forest 1 my Gaia promix. After 3 or 4 weeks I tossed the ocean forest plant cause the Gaia promix one was almost triple the size and the room was starting to get cramped. Suffice to say that was my last bag of ocean forest. Saves me a shit ton of money to. Stuff was like 30 a bag or more.
Thanks!!!
It disappeared…lol
Thanks --Gaia promix is what I’m going to use — was wanting to use something other than FF and HF. SO, SO many mediums out there (soil) don’t what to change to THANKS @Justblazin will use next run
Is that a Pro_mix you know that hey have quite a few soio --some with miroz… So is that the type from them
@hawkman You can use promix bx,hp or mp
got yea ! but do you mix anything with it ?
I use pro mix, worm casting and a little perlite. Ammend with Gaia green bloom in flower!
Oh and I put great white and recharge and I can see the rizosphere in there!
You can just mix Gaia green dry amendments 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 at the recommended rates for hanging baskets and planter boxes.
You can also add other stuff if you like but the 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 work well by themselves.
If you do add other stuff I would put in less 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 so that it’s still around the same ml per litre
I feel like if you do a mix with casting you don’t need the 4-4-4, I just use the bloom now and my girls were healthy in a 3 gal pot for a 6 week veg!
here is a few that I use --Build-a-flower top dress and KIS “organic” nutrient pack (this stuff is F’en great)
Build a soil is the reason why I went organic! Made It seem easy!
their stuff is good but expensive -one product that I give a 10 + is : Liquid Gold ( best Iv’e found and worth every penny - also they now offer quarts of – this stuff last a long time
A substitute for gaia green in Europe?
@Justblazin
Yes with really good ewc you are probably right. But not all ewc are created equally…lol
Sorry I’m not to familiar with products in Europe.
Can you get Dr earth?
