When do buds swell

Hey I just wanted to talk about when do the buds swell, and why?

Is it food, or lack of food, or is it just biology? Why and when do buds swell up?

Ooof, thats a complicated one and all i can say is depends.
Ive seen Balkh plump up the last 2 weeks, after being airy.
Ive seen Skunk bulk up 5-6 weeks in.

They are “plumping up” from the start of flower schedule. But you will tend to see the additional “plumping” in the two to three weeks leading up to harvest. Right about the time they start drinking less, or a little before that.

i agree with what @blowdout2269 said. last couple of weeks of flower is when they get dense / heavy and bend them branches over.
