Trying to see if i can mcgyver a self watering method for clones in rooting plugs.
Tray2grow from autopot with the plug cell tray sitting directly on the capillary mat.
A bit of wicking tape added in case the plugs dont actually contact the mat.
Clone jerry rigging seems to be working as expected. Root riots staying wet without top watering 3 days now.
Nice diy method
This t2g is pretty neat. Pricey but its really versatile. In the spring i can throw some veggie starter plants on there and just forget em for a while. Really low maintenance unit.
Thats what im all about…the pricing has turned me off for now tbh, only thing that held me back from putting one in my 2x4
Too expensive for what it is for sure, but its my first time working with cap matting and im jazzed about the simplicity. For the money it should have a bigger footprint.
The yellow line halfway down represents soil moisture for the last month. You can see the drybacks when they were small and i hand watered. Then the sip kicks in and its steady 50% saturation microbe day spa.
Love that tech…what system/company are ypu using for this and the camera and the measuring humidity/temp in the different apps?
The graph with the data is ac infinitys ai controller. (Just screenshot) The camera is a blink generic security cam if thats what you’re referring to holmes.
Got you…dang, i need to get into all this tech and stop being cheap because i would love to be more hands off, i dont have time/effort/brainspace to be in the grow room properly these days
Thick & Healthy! Are you planing to thin them out mid flower at all?
Im definitely planning that…i always think im gonna defol 3 solid times, once at flip, once 3 weeks later and finally 3 weeks after that. But then i get high…and lazy.
Usually my flip one ends up being a gradual process over the 1st 3 weeks.
The controller is prolly only a hundred dollar investment. Maybe 150 bundled w an exhaust fan
I couldn’t be happier with how theyre growing. If i can get results like this from 100% organic inputs it makes it harder to justify going back to salts. Also this run is 1/3 reused soil. 1st time trying that. So far so good!
I think everyone here can relate ![]()
I saw your organic mix, have you been top dressing since?
what were you using for salts?
