Sorry to disgress but if you like this line at the point to make seeds, why not trading some (over here or not, think about me if you find some clean dalat ^^) that are more versatiles for this use ? Directly launched in flo, you can have a better sight in less than a year indoor. Then choose the perfect match.
If it’s just chunking for the pleasure, go full throttle with feeling and love affairs. Better to be fully irrationnal than half with homebreeding ^^
I pass my time to piss on autos but why not too an automale in this context ? Just launch the seeds with a good delay. Then you inject later
Now the most conventionnal way (beside outcrossing a fem) is to use a simple NL donor. An ~half century of proofs on this matter is enough to be convinced i think. Don’t outcross with skunk, the bloody begins of Ace are also a good lesson on this matter ^^

I have some males and pollen saved too.
I will plant some 6 week autos. The autos can throw pollen in two weeks from seed (haze/blueberry/sweet tooth/GDP).
I have cocobubble, Molokai frost, g13hp pollen saved.
Northern diesel×bcscNL5, purple skunk and another g13hp males all ready to flower for other projects. And one Xmas bud/g13hp f2 male in flower about to throw pollen.

I really like the smell on the VB. And would really like to have in the future. It like a cologne type of sent. But I wouldn’t call it floral. The NL are more floral then I want but may not over power the smell in the VB.

I have a pack of these unopened if you’re looking to try them out. Flowered fast & looked just as advertised. Not much stretch at all, very sticky… but damn, made me want to sit on my ass and not do much of anything. Not quite my style.
Not true. I created a full auto line thats on f4 now from a auto x photo pairing . The mating consist of auto w.w mother x photo bodhi rku male . First generation produced a few autos and more than most people would think. Maybe a photo female x auto male would produce less autos or none but for me I found plenty to pick from in first generation. I also picked for purple and would say more than 75% are and that’s a trait from the photo side
Imho If you want to keep it reasonably true to the vb smoke, you might want to look at the Yunnan indica, ACE has a good one, It’s got some characteristics of both sativa in effect but also indica morphology and flowering times, also Yunnan is on the northern border of Vietnam, so it is possible that some VB already has some Yunnan in it already.
Minimal reaction from my experience, I selected for years to try and shorten the vb flower time and unfortunately made next to no headway with it. Outcrossing and then back crossing to a recurring parent seems to be the quickest way imo.
Hey @V4vendetta , if you’re not in a hurry, I’ve got f3s on the vine right now of a dwarf Afghani line I’ve been working on sporadically for the last couple years. It’s bred up off tight genetics and is fairly homozygous (as much as canabis can be anyhow). It’s pretty much the opposite of the VB and will probably give you a nice shot of heterosis to the cross as well as pull it towards the indica, a little bit anyways, without throwing 10 different phenotypes when you test.
The opening post gives a good overview of what I started with and what my intentions are for the project. There’s a lot of info in there but if you scroll down to the last few post, you’ll be able to see the f2 moms that I’m using to go to f3.
