Ace Panama is strong, sure.
But a classic hybrid effect.
So where is interest when you search for an effect without body tiredness? Not.
Super strong ? Extreme ? Not.

I will say. ALL of the old Landrace strains I smoked back in the 60s-70s, had extremely heavy comedowns, and to the point of, after a few hours, raiding the fridge, going to sleep, waking up 3-4 hours later, still ripped, eyes bloodshot, kind of drunk feeling. All the best of it I smoked back them, was both physically, and mentally heavy. With few exceptions. Fkn Oaxacan was some extreme stuff for one. At least the stuff we got was. $40 USD 1/4lb. $140lb. What I would give to have some of those seeds. Only stuff I ever smoked that gave me extreme auditory hallucinations. Couldnt hear worth a crap, and everything was garbled, and confusing. Sounded like a reverb chamber, that was to saturated.
Columbian Red/Gold were also offenders. The Panama I smoked in 71, was extremely racy, but in the end, would have you raiding the fridge, and sending you to bed.
Ive also read that a good amount of Mexican, back in the 60s, was hybridized with Lebanese.
But I cant hardly remember any of it, having an extremely heavy, clear high, and no comedown burnout.

Do you remember the appearance/shape of this imported herb?
It was compressed and sometimes black/brown (moldy?).
Harsh trip before entering the US market.
With this treatment, the effects are different.
If the Haze varieties are representative of what was found at that time, how can you explain the fact that they were almost completely sleepy-free as early as 1990 ??
So were a lot of pure Sativa direct from sourceā¦
I tried to calm down and sleep, many time even with Sativa x Skunk F1ā¦ without succes 
I think you felt exhaustion from smoking too much very strong weed. Your internal system was exhaustedā¦
I went for 12 years 1997-2009 without smoking because I was doing a 10-LIFE-Mandatory Minimum for Cultivation of 1000+ clones.
Though most of the weed back then, was loaded with seeds, most of what we got, was still very fresh, and still had a great smell, and wasnt beaten to death.
I was lucky in that whilte I was usually the youngest person around, I knew older people, through my sister, and her boyfriend, that were bringing weed in from all over.
One of my older ( 15 years older ) worked on a Merchant Ship, out of Key West, and they went to Columbia every 2-3 months, and he would bring in 50-100lbs of the best fucking Columbian that was ever grown.
He was bringing back Santa Marta Green-Sinsemilla back from Columbia, in 1972.
At that time weed was mostly $40 a 1/4lb, or $20 usd oz.
This stuff was $50usd an oz, and he wouldnt sell anything less than ounces. It was super paranoia inducing. Was very Floral, and would choke you to death. Also would send your ass to the couch, and an eventual raid on the fridge. It was the type of weed that made you think everyone knows your high.
Also, the Panama Red I had, in 1971, had ZERO SEEDS, and was Brick Red. It was very fiberous, fluffy and the oz were huge. $20 oz in 71. Only time I think I ever got REAL Panama Red. It too, would light your ass up, and send you to the couch after a few hours. Heavy comedown.

Thatās a wild story! Panama Red is on my list of strains that I want to grow and breed with. Ive seen Panama x Haze seeds floating around. I would try that as well.
One of the best lifestyle choices I made, was to limit my consumption. I keep my tolerance low, so that I can have mind bending experiences when I smoke. I use to consume cannabis every day, but these days I smoke once or twice a month. I go to the forest and spend the whole day connecting with the cosmos.

Vietnamese is definitely the most potent paranoia inducing strain period. Thai stick was potent but with a knock you out stone. Mexican was light and happy. Haze maybe but I never had any induce paranoia

You should include Nevilleās Hazeā¦ THAT stuff made me unable to speak or understand English for an hour or so. Very disconcerting and trippy stuff. Sitting with my feet in a creek and not remembering how I got thereā¦ yeah.

Yea i have seeds. But the effect i described in the post wasnāt just the pot. I think I was hypoglycemic at the time (Low blood sugar) and smoking pot just knocked me out. Itās hard for me to tell when that condition is on. Probably feeling tired, a little sluggish, which is why I said āIāll have toi think this over.ā So far Iāve curt back smoking pot pretty severely. Soā¦?

Itās like that for me too. I was getting where it wasāt cosmic or even fun anymore. Just slow, and rather blahh. Tells me, my body, nervous system needs a break. I like to drive to the ocean walk about a quarter mile to a spot on the dunes with an old sun bleached log washed up on some storm, sit back watch the waves roll in, sometimes write a ditty for a tune. Maybe next time take to the redwoods.
