White powdery mildew, what do I do?

It’s funny because it’s true. If I were desperate I’d make edibles from PM buds.

So I mixed up some of my sulfur and I’m letting it sit while I’m at work, hopefully some will dissolve into solution. Since the wetable suIfur has a surfactant, I also added one tsp of safer soap to the qt of spray. I also need to find a spray bottle that will spray with this stuff, or else I’ll be stirring a bucket constantly and dipping my plants upside down into it.
Oh, while I had it mixed, it didn’t give off any sulfur odor, will check again tonight lol.

dipping them might work!
I just have a shaker of crap like safers garden sulfur dust I pump a tablespoon into a liter of water. Small enough particles or something? I never noticed clogs but it does precipitate out fairly quickly, so lots of it might just be suspended. Never really checked. I spray it on with a pump-up sprayer.

Ah, yea the pressurized ones might work better. But I only have the manual type right now.

That really does sound like hell. Not really a good business practice either. I def won’t be buying from him again. If his problem is that bad, treating all the plants wouldn’t be enough. He’d have to clean every surface. Maybe he thinks it’s easier to just reship infected clones than clean everything thoroughly. I just ordered some Sulphur so it should be here in a few days. Im hoping to have the same results as u did withbit. I still may use the eagle 20 for another round on my mothers, but I’d like to not use it on anything that’s gonna be put in flower soon. I believe I read it has a half life of 45 days.
Edit. I was going to ask wat are your thoughts of using hydrogen peroxide in flower. I got a pineapple express that’s about 3 weeks out from harvest that’s infected.

I sprayed straight 3% peroxide on the infected flowering plants for maybe 4 days. It didn’t seem to stop it much. I gave up and culled the whole tent at around 3 weeks in. I wish you the best though!

After you get the sulfur, you can kiss the mildew goodbye. I checked out your grow and BAM! You will definitely be able to slay it with a couple sprays. Do the protocol where you spray it once then again 2 weeks later, the mildew will be toast. I always recommend 2 sprays just to make sure you got it all. Drench the plants and mildew is dead meat. DOA no chance of survival.
Go straight to the sulfur don’t bother wasting time with peroxide or baking soda or any of that other stuff. Sulfur is cheap and super deadly. Just be aware of the lingering side effects on the human mind, you will probably experience hyper vigilance thinking the mildew will come back at any time.

You might be experiencing the psychological effects of the powdery mildew infestation. I still stand by my original assessment that you killed it months ago and it’s not coming back, period. You don’t need to go overboard on prevention because… the problem doesn’t exist anymore.

@schmarmpit I feel ur pain bro. I chopped 6 plants I had just put in flower, 1 veg plant, 1 mother, and 1 plant that was about 5 weeks in flower.
@JoeCrowe thanks for the kind words good sir. I plan to use the Sulphur on everything except the ones I got in flower. I can’t get wait to get past this crap.

I got a pump up sprayer and it worked pretty well. I got some on me, rinsed right off. No odor other than the little bit of safer soap I mixed in. Though the area does look like the pollen coated surfaces outside . After I sprayed the plants individually from all sides, I let the drip dry a bit, I put them back on the shelf, then I gave them all another misting from the top for good measure.

I need to look into getting a couple chunks to seal my intake fans do you know if they sell smaller amounts ?I’d need a couple 10 inch pieces before the hemp crops down the road get into full swing .

Really hope this shit doesnt surface when I grow again. Got everything but the heat pumps installed and ill be back in business. Id think not growing for 3 months and cleaning and renovating the room (new ceiling, new paint, new trim. Not because of PM but I wanted it to look nice.) Would do the trick. For extra precaution I m going to run an ozone generator in the room where I put all my grow equipment. Do that a few times for extra precaution. Dont think I need to, but PM PTSD is real. This is the clean freak in me. Maybe once I burn through all this JOTI and GG4 RIL (if it ever ships) ill take some clones in again. Just treat right away. Though i think I m banished from the cool clone kid club

We will see how scharmpit does. Rooting for ya ll.

Why not use a product that don’t stink and leave a nasty taste on your buds . At the first sign of problems mold aphids mites I spray the whole garden in the evenings under side top and bottom . It takes a couple of applications and a watchful eye . I don’t expect anyone to listen to me my kids don’t lol . And you can use it right up to harvest Happy Growing

so this eliminated a powdery mildew infestation? Tell us your story.

It’s already long dead, don’t sweat it. I always make sure to kill the parasites on incoming clones before they enter the grow. That’s where the infestation originates from.

I was going to say the same, you’ve got nothing to worry about. I didn’t really clean my equipment down that much at all, I just sprayed all plant material with sulfur. I did wipe down my tent walls and had nothing in them for a week. That’s about it.
