Who can school me on Rosin

Since I got a new press and a harvest down , I have been pressing for rosin quite a bit . Got the press part down , not looking for advise on that , but rather on changing the product into different forms .

Tried to utube it , but bunch of crazies .

Don’t understand “whipping” and exactly how to stabilize and store it .

What I’m looking for is this

One of my good press’s has morphed from the sticky melted hard candy into creamy smooth butter that can be spread on a single paper like butter on toast . So easy to work with .

How do I make all my rosin into that consistency ???

Surely someone here is an expert and knows

Maybe @ReikoX

@JoeCrowe has a great thread

Consistency changes over time.
No two plants will be exactly the same.
Even the same cuts will vary unless pressed at the same everything.
Finally try pressing some thca for no flavour and extreme punch.

I thought most of Joe’s thread was bubble hash I didn’t realize he was deep into Rozen

I grabbed a tumbler from dabpress and that things worth its weight to me.
Save me a bunch of time and labor and makes some nice hash rosin.

I like pressing better . Have a tumbler and 5 nice custom made dry screens too . For me the Nugsmasher is just easier and way faster

Yah it totally depends on what you are pressing. Some rosin turns into a liquid after a good sit in the fridge for 30 days and others solidify. The liquid ones you can whip and still scoop out melted butter. The solid ones you whip them and they turn hard over night. I whip it with a pin.

I don’t think it matters if you press or BHO. Time change consistency and color. When i get the concentrate the consistency I want store it in the freezer.

Winterizing to remove some of the fats will help to stabilize it if you want a more solid product. If I want a terpery(?) Product I don’t winterize and I soak it longer in the solvent and this makes the end product more pull snap or syrup.

But yeah Im with you I like a spreadable butter and folks can say what they want but winterizing does remove flavor and some THC. Tested this by smoking what was left in the filter from a good grade alcohol wash. Not and ton of THC but lip smacking flavor.

Explain why you want to whip it? I have fooled with this a lot and your just adding air to the product. Are you trying to make crumble like a waffer cookie?

It homogenizes the rosin, that’s all.
