That’s a really cool, car really clean

Some nice vehicles you people have. I don’t have anything antique.

Any jeep that makes it that long is an antique lol

Not an antique… but a “collector” … 1989 mustang. Been sitting on that hoist for 5 months since paint waiting on the body shop to deal with their fuck ups… not gonna happen

I do have one of these for my antique tho… 1936 Plymouth business couple, with the rumble seat. Mine has been torn apart in pieces since I was a kid… ill probably end up rat rodding it

It’s still chugging along! Waiting for the 4 cylinder to go, then I want to throw a straight six in it. My brother hassles me over throwing a 350 in it, I always tell him I’m just not down to be twisting my frame. Lol.

If you throw in a 350 I would do an axle swap of some sort.
Those stock axles will snap like a twig.

No but that’s where the Poncho came from. Sat since 76’ in a carport in the high desert before it was uncovered.

I like the old bronco. The international scout. Do y’all remember the six door international SUV. I guess she would say that was before they called them a SUV.

In my area 25 is collector and I believe its like 35 for antique… neither of which are possible cause its a 4cylinder swapped to v8. After market stereo blah blah blah. Plus a bunch of stupid driving rules lol

My dad had a Porsche 944 Turbo race car since it was new but sold it a few years ago and his trailer to someone without telling me or letting me or my brother make an offer. It had a lot of engines over the years.

Most powerful was bored and stroked to 3.0L, ductile iron sleeves in the block, all forged custom internals, electromitive tec3 engine management, ball bearing turbo, it dyno’d almost 400hp and over 400 ft/lb of torque at very low rpm. Ran on leaded 116 octane. Had electronic boost controller, wet sump, custom valved coilovers, spherical bearing bushings in all suspension, forged control arms, brembo brakes, full roll cage, 315 slicks in the front 375 out back, it was a monster.

I used to help my dad change the brakes and the bearings and do maintenance stuff clean the hubs etc it was a member of the family to me, oh well.

This isn’t my dads car but here is a photo:

My first event was in the rain and I locked the brakes hahaha went off the track and mud went everywhere. I haven’t been to a track even as a spectator for some time now I miss it but my life has taken a more modest path.

Just for a weekend you need the racecar, brakes, brake fluid, oil, tires, track fees, trailer, tow vehicle, gas, hotel, food. I could save the rest of my life and never afford it.

The cost of a new car went up $6k this year I think a lot more people are going to be driving antique cars.
