Well I thought I would be fair and not say 17. But now that there is competition… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

So for all you folks who don’t see the harm and say it doesn’t affect things let me point this out. Current co-op sign up for Northern Lights. 85 edits for 32 names so far. Constant over writing right in front of your eyes. People totally ignoring the edit conflict warning messages. So this behavior has turned this sign up into a shit show. This is why I am of the opinion that these games with wiki’s are bad for us all. Just some real world consequences I though I would point out.

Absolutely, I was bounced repeatedly.

See what cool stuff is over at @alaskagrown 1-100 guess, everybody is being careful of chosen numbers.

Yeah, not a big fan of the guess a number game as it adds so many useless posts to a thread but it is better than screwing with a wiki. At least we are not rewarding bad behavior. Nice to see people taking the time to be careful about their pick though, got to give them credit for that.

Agreed. I would have like to see no sign up and just random in box like in the past.

EDIT: Wiki after the fact is something I have never seen before.

 :green_heart:

Forgive me for my ignorance….what’s a wiki battle??

Wiki goes up with abunch of numbers like 1-10, everyone tries to be the one in a spot before buzzer sounds, musical chairs with a hard floor, sucks

People being allowed to overwrite each other for a set time and the people on the list the moment it closes wins.
Teaches people it is ok to overwrite each other which is what the need to learn not to. sucks.

Got ya…sure hope I’m not upsetting anyone with my giveaway…same numbers can be chosen so it’s not a fight to get in a number spot.

No actually I used it as an example of courteous behavior. Doug was warning against what was happening on another giveaway at that moment.

Recent signup that was post based, with the author making the list (@Alaskagrown stylee), less stressful than other modes imho!

Damn, everybody was well behaved in my wiki. I was kinda surprised I didn’t have to police it at all.

I think a standard, bolded warning about overwriting should be put on all these. I was ready to banish and disqualify for that behavior but I think there was only one over-write the whole time and they apologized right away so I can live with that.

I actually had to wait for people to finish editing several times just so I could fix the list. Y’all can wait to add yourself…

While I can’t argue that it doesn’t reinforce bad habits… I would like to point out the number of people in Johnny’s giveaway who didn’t post country or TL and had to be reminded… Mind you, its in his giveaway post… Instructions are right there, and he’s still had to ask people for country, or TL. Or remind them is US and CA only (when thats also in the main giveaway post)

My point being… people dont read instructions many times.
