There should be one rule to the wiki battle, that I myself have done before, but you shouldn’t be able to put your name on two or more different spots at the same time. It truly is a random method of a giveaway this way.

I’m not to fond of the wiki battles, but that should be dealers choice.
6 point karma rule and raising the bar to be more active on here is how it should be. It needs to be a full circle of support and participation in order for this to be self staining. Basically everyone does a little and no one person does a lot.
And besides we’re talking bud folks. If you truly love it, it’s not hard. JMOO

My thought for a wiki battle was exactly that. To bring attention to what happens on a wiki sign up. And after thinking long and hard. I could find no solution. So this is where the problem became the solution. Also I was new here once. And as is every passerby if it be for 10 mins or a lifetime.
So that is where my heart fell was to let anyone willing be allowed. As I’m here to spread the plant and limiting one on there length of stay seems foolish, so to combat that I’ve reduced my seed package size from 50-100 seeds to a mere 11 seeds. I decided it’s easier to adjust what I do, compared to trying to get the masses to adjust.
I do understand though that the wiki battle raises the emotion level for some. And that is where it will always fall short.
Once upon a time ago seedbay existed because of overgrow. We now live in a age where people don’t have to hide as much.
Members here on the forum have showed us that it’s capable of happening, Sebring has employed this method for a while.
So I believe that all these have a place in the overgrow realm. The wiki sign up list, the in post sign up list, even these wiki battles. And for one I believe that it promotes cognitive prowess when addressing the wiki. As then more are apt to pay attention if they know that it affects multiple people quickly.
Plus self accountability is not always the easiest thing, that’s why we have MOds here. To manage the unmanageable for some. To which I am indebted and thankful for what they do. But as I have found with sign ups. The least of ones worries sometimes hides waiting to rear it’s head.
So to recap. I’m high. I could chat a while. I’m approving of wiki battles for all inclusive purposes. And say we bring back a version of seedbay to get this bumping lol.

I freaking LOVE the weekly wiki battle giveaway from @Enjoi802! So much fun! And sustained fun for 10 minutes, not just the 10-30 seconds of trivia.
And I also think it builds people’s understanding of how the wiki system works, thereby making overwrites LESS likely in normal wiki signups.
