Wilk’s 1st OG Diary

All good! :joy: :joy:

Just curious what’s that mixture come out ppm wise ?

Not going to lie, I haven’t checked much this run. I have been watching the plants reaction to determine my feed ratios. I will check tonight when I feed.

Definitely nice and healthy. Thanks

The ppm was at 1440 with the mix from above.

Not overly high thanks for getting back to me.
I try to keep it under 1000 as run off is quite a bit higher.

@ShiskaberrySavior I just used the cheapo TDS meter in the picture. It shows 1040ppm on the following mix. I suppose the conversion factor my TDS meter uses is different than @E5_Wilk. An EC meter would be better for a definitive measurement.

1gal tap water pH7.7 250ppm
1/2 tsp MaxiGro
1/2 tsp Maxibloom
1/8 tsp Easy Weed
1mL CalMag+
A pinch of ascorbic acid to bring to pH 6.5

Doesn’t look like he posted his starting water ppm that would make a difference also.

I probably need to calibrate my meter, it was right at 500 with just water. I did back the nutrients down and I am right at 1000 ppm’s now. Starting to really frost up.

Dang! Are you on the big city water? That’s high ppm for municipal tap? I’m on the local town muni tap at 250ppm.

Yeah I am on big city water. I’m going to re-calibrate my meter today. It shows 510ppm with tap water.

The shorter MLK is starting to look real nice. This is the shortest plant in the room which is crazy to me because the other MLK is the tallest in the room.

I went ahead and ordered another EC and TDS meter to double check the numbers the cheapone is giving me.

I am using a Bluelab. I’m about to calibrate it now and see what it reads.

Those are looking very nice! What kind’s of aromas are you getting off everything?

That MLK that I just showed, it has a sweet floral smell to it. Almost like honeysuckle.

Do you by chance know how $20 TDS pens compare with the higher end ones? I feel like cheap TDS meters are more accurate than cheap pH meters.

Here is the other MLK. It’s been slower forming buds and as you can see, it is a lot taller. This one gives off a smell that makes your nose curl. Kinda nasty, rubber, chemical smell. This one is hard to explain.

Out of all of the plants, this has been one of the harder ones to figure out the feed that it likes. It’s starting to show in the second picture. I haven’t been able to figure out what it needs.

I have not used a cheap TDS pen to compare. I worked in a lab for some time and used cheap PH pens because that’s all the company would provide. They were horrible so I ended up buying my own Bluelab PH pen. After that, I just went straight for the Bluelab when I got the TDS.

Did you save a clone of this one? It looks like it has the potential to get big and throw on some fat colas. At first glance, my guess is that it’s more hungry/thirsty than the other plants. It wants to grow bigger and put on more weight. It wants more resources.
