100%. I have just never heard of the hot water thing but @THCeed is a great grower so I would trust his advice all day long. They fill libraries with the shit I don’t know, lol.

I just tried it on the craftflame seeds and 333 genetics
Had 100 :100: @DougDawson
So I figured let’s try twice with harder seeds to germ
If there not good seeds this should weed out the weak lol

@Osogreen261 @THCeed I have not heard about the hot water method. What’s the trick to it?

I just used the hotest water out of my tap
Which is very very hot
He mentioned it awhile ago
I just tried it with 100 :100: so I try again
@THCeed if it works again with these kinda white an some more white then the others pop i will be sold

That’s it? Just hottest water straight out of municipal tap? Nothing else?

How long do you leave them in the water? Until they start to pop open, just a few hours, 24 hrs? Transfer to paper towel, rooting plug, direct to soil?

I had bad germ rates on my summer 2024 grows. I’ll give it a try when I pop seeds for 2025.

@THCeed said usually pretty quick an that at 48 hrs it was way long from what he has seen or been used to

I use half liter mason jars. Fill with water as hot as it gets from the tap. Throw in your beans and seal the lid. I put mine in a little 6 pack cooler, to help hold the heat longer and for the darkness. If they don’t have tails after 24 hours, they go to the paper towel until they do.

Very smart move, you will be pleased. I have never germinated a bean any other way. I never have to sand or crack beans. In fact, I never heard of that until here. I think @blowdout2269 did an experiment with the hot water from his tap at almost boiling point and also had 10/10

That’s great! I have some seeds that I’ve been trying to get to pop for at least 6 months worth of trying. I finally got 3 to get a tiny tap root, if that doesn’t work I have one pack left and will try that method you use!
Thanks for info fellas!
