Ok i had a thought whilst watching my kid at sportsball practice.
What happens if i cross these autos back to an auto or fast from the fast photo generation? Instead of moving forward with only using these latest auto beans to make seed?
I have a loose grasp on doing this with photos, and nomenclature skills are weak as fuck but basically, im wondering what the difference would be in autoflower land.
Are their any possible advantages to be worked out there? Later flowering/longer veg?
Or would i just be planting a ton of fast seeds waiting for some to auto, wasting time and space for no reason?
Sort of sounds like jumping over a dollar to get a dime now that i typed it out, lol

I guess the reason i ask is because the autos from the fast generation showed less double grape traits and theres this cantaloupe plant that immediately was a standout. I want/need to find it again, but am unsure how hard itll be to find it in the full autos vs the fast, where i know it resides.
Am i just talking in circles here? Lol

I just spotted the first male in the autos, so i might let him use my bedroom with two ladies that were started about the same time. Or ill just collect pollen for later. Thats probably what ill do.

Best way is to start a mega pheno hunt. Do like 20 seeds at a time and toss the losers.

I was thinking more like 60-80, but if i get confident collecting pollen without blowing my load from the windows to the walls i can just poke along patiently.
Im itching to. Start some photo seeds too, so i guess i have some decisions to make.
Next project after that might be a @PsillyRabbit freak to auto thing with these. So i can finally drive myself fully nuts lol

I did a thing:
I started this one in this cut-up cup inside another one, which made it slightly easier to water as a seedling. Then as soon as i saw root tips get even close to the bottom i transplanted the whole inner cup. It saves alot of space if nothing else.
This was after i went johnny hammersticks getting her out the 5 gal bag.

I cant thank you enough @BRMTreefarmer for happening to be there at just the right time for me to dibs the hell out of those initial seeds. I used to drool over bogs pictures since way back, and mephisto genetics ive found to be pretty solid. Do you have any of yours going?
